Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) took the stage, claiming, “For 20 years, Kamala Harris has been tough as nails when it comes to securing our border.”

Outside the venue, protesters began their third straight day of antagonizing law enforcement and attempting to breach the fences that were put in place to protect rally-goers from the anti-Israel crowd.

Night three of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) kicks off Wednesday, and Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) will close out the night with his acceptance of the vice presidential nomination. The only question is whether or not he can get through his speech — said to focus on “his lifetime of service and his commitment to safeguarding the freedoms that we all hold dear” — without adding another whopper to his growing list of fabrications.
What’s happening?
Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) is expected to accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for vice president, but before that happens, the parade of speakers is set to include former President Bill Clinton and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
John Legend is expected to perform a tribute to Prince on Wednesday as well.
According the Alex Hornbrook, executive director of the Democratic National Convention Committee, the evening will highlight “everyday Americans whose freedoms and livelihoods hinge on this election.”
