Amid speculation that independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may drop out of the race and endorse Donald Trump soon, Trump has just revealed whether or not he’d consider offering RFK Jr. a place in his second administration.
Earlier today, RFK Jr.’s running mate said that their campaign is considering dropping out and endorsing Trump very soon:

When asked by CNN if Trump would consider offering RFK Jr. a position in his future administration, he said he “probably would” and it’s “certainly” a possibility.
“I like him. I respect him a lot,” Trump responded to the question about RFK Jr., “I probably would if something like that were to happen. He’s a very different kind of guy — a very smart guy. And, yeah, I would be honored by that endorsement, certainly.”
Trump went on to say, “He’s a brilliant guy. He’s a very smart guy. I’ve known him for a very long time I didn’t know he was thinking about getting out, but if he is thinking about getting out, certainly I’d be open to it.”

The Washington Examiner has more:
Former President Donald Trump said he would “certainly” consider giving independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a position in his administration in return for an endorsement.
In an interview with CNN’s Kristen Holmes, Trump was asked about recent comments from Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, which appeared to take him off guard.
“Well, we haven’t, but I’d love that endorsement,” he responded when asked whether he had considered Kennedy for a role in his administration.
“You’re asking me a very unusual question. I haven’t been asked that question yet,” Trump said, smiling when pressed on the question. “I like him. I respect him a lot. I probably would if something like that were to happen. He’s a very different kind of guy — a very smart guy. And, yeah, I would be honored by that endorsement, certainly.”
“He’s a brilliant guy. He’s a very smart guy. I’ve known him for a very long time,” the former president added. “I didn’t know he was thinking about getting out, but if he is thinking about getting out, certainly I’d be open to it.”
He dismissed concerns that appointing Kennedy would anger his Republican supporters.
“I like smart people, and Republicans like me,” Trump said.
CNN also confirmed:
Donald Trump said Tuesday he would “certainly” be open to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. playing a role in his administration if the independent candidate drops out of the 2024 race and endorses the former president.
“I like him, and I respect him,” Trump told CNN’s Kristen Holmes in an interview after a campaign stop in Michigan.
“He’s a brilliant guy. He’s a very smart guy. I’ve known him for a very long time,” the Republican presidential nominee said. “I didn’t know he was thinking about getting out, but if he is thinking about getting out, certainly I’d be open to it.”
Trump’s comments came after Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, said on a podcast posted Tuesday that the Kennedy campaign is considering dropping out of the race and endorsing Trump. She described the decision as intended to reduce “the risk” that Vice President Kamala Harris defeats Trump.
Trump said he would “love that endorsement, because I’ve always liked” Kennedy.
Asked if he would consider appointing Kennedy to a role in his administration if he wins in November, Trump said he “probably would.”
“I like him a lot. I respect him a lot,” Trump said. “I probably would, if something like that would happen. He’s a very different kind of a guy — a very smart guy. And, yeah, I would be honored by that endorsement, certainly.”
What do you think?
Would this be a smart move?
Would you support RFK Jr. in Trump’s Cabinet?
In which position?
One thing’s for sure.
