They're So Bad at This: Democrat Attack on JD Vance's Background During DNC Widely Misses the Mark

Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), who is GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's vice presidential choice, is fast approaching the point where his critics can credibly be accused of having VDS (Vance Derangement Syndrome).

We've documented the more bizarre attacks against Vance since Trump picked him to be his running mate, with one of the most notable being how Democrats have gone after his origin story. We saw this, for instance, in Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear auditioning to be Kamala Harris' pick in July by oddly proclaiming he wanted "the American people to know what a Kentuckian is and what they look like. Because let me just tell you that JD Vance ain't from here."

Vance ended him spectacularly with his response, which was to note that "Eastern Kentucky will always have a special place in my heart...it’s very weird to have a guy whose first job was at his dad’s law firm and who inherited the governorship from his father criticize my origin story.”

These swipes at Vance are two-pronged, claiming he's not a real Kentuckian while also suggesting he's too elitist to be relatable to middle-class Ohio voters, many of who elected him to the Senate in 2022.

As another example of this, we turn to Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH), who has been in Congress since 2013 and who previously served as the Chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus.

During the Monday Democrat National Convention festivities, Beatty, too, took several swipes at Vance, this time because he had the nerve to make something of himself as a young man:

I was born in the Buckeye State, and I've never left.

Now JD Vance likes to talk about how he's from Ohio, but as soon as he could, he ran away to Yale and Silicon Valley — cozying up with billionaires while trashing our communities.

Watch:

This line of attack is just 50 shades of dumb for reasons explained well below:

Vance's apparent crime is that he didn't stay poor, which is where Democrats prefer the masses to be.

Hilariously, there was also this:

So... apparently Beatty is okay with people bettering themselves as long as they don't have an "R" by their names. Got it.

As I said earlier, it's a really dumb attack but let's hope the Democrats keep making it because it reaffirms once and for all that the true elitists in America are from the political party that wants to keep people in poverty and uneducated, not the political party that encourages you to achieve the American dream.
