A city parks worker made a creepy discovery Monday near the iconic Jane’s Carousel along downtown Brooklyn’s waterfront — human skeletal remains including a skull wrapped in clothing.
The enforcement officer made the grisly find just off the East River at Dock and Water streets in DUMBO around 8:50 a.m., according to authorities and sources.
The remains were covered in clothing, and a pair of boots were also recovered nearby, sources said.
The discovery came fewer than 24 hours after officers pulled a man’s body from the water just off Red Hook in Brooklyn, cops said.
The dead man, believed to be in his 30s, was discovered near Pier 12 at Van Brunt and Reed streets around 1:50 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Both cases are still being investigated.
