They’re battening the hatches in the Windy City as the Democratic National Convention comes to town. More on that in a second.

But first an apology. On Friday’s Brew, when talking about the Secret Service agent caught breastfeeding when she was supposed to be providing protection at a Trump event, I went onto say:

Not to throw around the letters D, E, and I, but this incident comes mere months after a female agent on Kamala Harris’s vice presidential detail had an emotional breakdown and attacked her supervisor while waiting for Harris to arrive at Joint Base Andrews.

My wife pointed out this sounds like I’m saying women should not be agents. This is not the case. Obviously, there are brave and top-notch female agents who meet any and all requirements. I carelessly did not include this caveat. My mind was on the report that dozens of agents were circulating a letter after this incident, complaining about how now-former director Kimberly Cheatles’s obsession with diversity and concomitant rush to load the agency up with women had led to a deterioration in quality candidates and training.

I apologize for having left the wrong impression.

Thousands of Pro-Hamas Demonstrators Expected to Try and Make a Mess of Democratic Convention

An estimated 100,000 pro-Hamas forces are expected to descend on Chicago to disrupt the Democratic National Convention this week. (Not including the anti-Israel forces inside the DNC.) The New York Post reports this will include a coalition of 125 anti-Israel groups taking part in a “March on the DNC” today and Thursday.

Hatem Abudayyeh, chair of the U.S. Palestinian Community Network, told The Washington Post, “Our target is the Democratic Party, and the leadership of the party — and ‘Killer Kamala’ is one of them.”

The purpose, among other radical leftist causes, is to pressure Harris and the Democrats to abandon Israel in its battle against Hamas.

Chicago is preparing for the left’s infamous “mostly peaceful” protests. Downtown businesses have boarded up their windows in anticipation of violence.

Planned Parenthood Offering Free Abortions and Vasectomies at Convention

Liberals bristle when Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance accuses them of being “anti-child.” Yet, almost on cue, Planned Parenthood announced it’ll be providing free medical abortions and vasectomies at the Democratic National Convention.

Yep. They’re rolling in a mobile abortion clinic bus. Can anyone say “deathmobile”? You can also look forward to an 18-foot inflatable IUD at the convention, dubbed Fredda Womb.

According to Post Millennial, all the vasectomy appointments are already taken.

It’s no surprise Planned Parenthood has a prime parking spot at Kamala Harris’s official coronation ceremony. When undercover journalist David Daleiden exposed Planned Parenthood’s baby-organ selling operation, Harris had Daleiden raided and tried to throw him in jail. 

 Even Liberals Aghast Over Harris’s Communism-Flavored Economics

On Friday, Kamala Harris unveiled her economics policy, and it went over about as well as Raygun’s Olympic breakdance.

Harris’s idea of tackling inflation is to blame corporate greed. She suggested price controls on groceries and wants to give first-time homeowners $25,000 of other taxpayers’ money. Even CNN anchor Abby Phillip called the price-control pitch a “ploy” to appeal to “economically illiterate voters.”

Liberal Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell went even further.

It’s hard to exaggerate how bad this policy is. It is, in all but name, a sweeping set of government-enforced price controls across every industry, not only food.

Rampell added that Harris’s approach helps prove Republican charges that she is a communist.

Obama economist Jason Furman also blasted the idea. “This is not sensible policy, and I think the biggest hope is that it ends up being a lot of rhetoric and no reality,” Furman told The New York Times. “There’s no upside here, and there is some downside.”

Stream cofounder Jay Richards laid out the downside. “If Kamala becomes president and tries this, the black market for food, and micro-farming, will explode,” he tweeted. “Time to get to know your local farmers and farmers’ markets.”

Harris did pinch another idea from the Trump-Vance campaign by suggesting a $6,000 per-child tax credit, right after Vance proposed a $5,000 tax credit.

To summarize Harris’s major decisions since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee: Picking a Communist who is guilty of stolen valor as her running mate, stealing two policy ideas from her rivals without credit, and proposing Soviet-style price controls that even liberal economists say will prove a disaster.

But at least her campaign is “joyful.”

SCOTUS Stalls Biden-Harris Effort to Allow Men in Women’s Sports and Locker Rooms

A big victory for sanity and the Constitution came on Friday evening. The Supreme Court voted 5-4 to reject a Biden-Harris emergency request to reinstate part of its new Title IX rule that would have allowed boys and men to compete against and use the facilities of girls and women in America’s schools and universities.

Multiple red states sued to block the rewrite, and have been backed by judges nationwide. The Supreme Court decision isn’t the final word on the rewrite, as the matter now returns to lower appellate courts.

Perhaps by the time the cases do reach the High Court for a final decision, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson will have learned what a woman is.

ESPN Fires Sole Female On-Air Talent Who Opposed Men in Women’s Sports

ESPN has unexpectedly canned popular host Sam Ponder. Critics immediately pointed out that Ponder has been especially vocal in speaking out against males competing in females’ sports. For example, in April 2023, the host of Sunday Night Countdown posted, “What’s happening to women in sports is insane, and any reasonable person knows it.”

She also defended those who have remained silent on the issue over fear of being fired or called hateful if they spoke up.

As Riley Gaines noted, this means ESPN no longer has a single female on-air reporter who openly opposes males infiltrating female events.
