Kamala Harris paid a moving tribute to her boss and mentor Joe Biden earlier today, by completely forgetting what she was talking about in the middle of a speech, sources confirm. 

“I’d like to start my speech by talking about someone very important to me,” said Harris, before staring off into the distance for several minutes before continuing. “And it’s important, isn’t it? To talk about people, and to show people that you know how much they mean to… everything that you tried to do, and what it is that you tell them, they have to try to achieve, you know what I mean? And that’s basically what I wanted to say.” 

Afterward, Harris’ aides scrambled to explain the confusing speech.

“Her teleprompter wasn’t working correctly,” said Harris campaign assistant Stephanie Cutter. “Yeah, that’s it. Or no, you know what it was? It was just a fun little tribute to Joe Biden and the campaign that ended so valiantly so that hers could begin. Remember how bad it got there right before the end? So yeah, that was just a nice little homage to the big guy. Classy, huh?” 

As of press time, Harris had paid several more touching tributes to Joe Biden in her next several speeches.
