Angel Reese wasn’t so concerned with personal stats on Thursday night.

The WNBA rookie superstar set a Chicago Sky franchise record for most offensive rebounds (120) in a single season in the team’s 85-65 loss to the Phoenix Mercury.

But when a reporter asked about it after the game, Reese was not having it.

“I know you care a lot more about the results than records but you set another record today,” the journalist attempted to ask, according to the Daily Mail.

Before he could finish the thought, Reese had jumped in to cut him off.

“No, I don’t want to hear about no record today,” Reese quickly interjected before the question-asker could even finish the thought.

Reese continued her stellar rookie campaign on Thursday night despite the loss, grabbing her 18th double-double of the season, which leads the WNBA.

She posted 11 points and 15 rebounds, but shot just 4-for-14 from the field.

Reese did put on an impressive display on one shot where she caught a high inbounds pass early in the game and was able to hit a shot off quickly while drawing the foul.

Nevertheless, despite her personal record, Reese was more interested in discussing the Mercury and the respect she holds for Brittney Griner.

“She’s a great player, really efficient tonight,” Reese said. “Just being able to follow the game plan was something we didn’t do.”

Reese and the Sky had been going into the break on a high as they toppled the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces, but weren’t able to come out for the second half of the season with the same fervor.

Chicago is in the thick of the playoff picture, sitting in eighth place with a 10-15 record and 2 1/2 games ahead of the ninth-place Atlanta Dream.
