While Walz has confirmed his participation, the Trump campaign has not yet officially agreed on the date. CBS News had proposed several potential dates for the event, including September 17, September 24, October 1, and October 8, with Walz ultimately agreeing to the October 1 date.
Following the announcement, Walz took to X to share the news, posting, “See you on October 1, JD."
