Deion Sanders isn’t waiting for the regular season to start — he’s got things to get off his chest now.

Sanders, the University of Colorado head coach, went at it in a press conference with reporters, whose coverage he didn’t appear to like.

The Hall of Fame defensive back spoke to the media Friday afternoon when Eric Christensen from CBS Colorado began to Sanders ask a question.

Sanders cut him off after Christensen introduced himself, “CBS,” he said, waving his hand with disregard.

“I’m not doing nothing with CBS. Next question. It ain’t got nothing to do with you,” he assured Christensen. “It’s above that. It ain’t got nothing to do with you. I got love for you. I appreciate you. I respect you. It ain’t got nothing to do with you. They know what they did.”

Christensen attempted to remind Sanders that he’s not a national reporter but from local outlet CBS Denver — an important distinction that Coach Prime seemingly had zero time for.

“You are who you are. CBS is CBS,” he doubled down. “It ain’t got nothing to do with you. I respect you. That’s why I told you that, I’m looking you in the eye as a man,” Sanders said while wearing sunglasses. “I respect you. I got love for you, but what they did was foul.”

Awful Announcing points out that, while Sanders has been on “60 Minutes,” CBS Sports ranked Sanders as the second-worst coach in the Big 12 earlier on Friday.

Additionally, he was labeled “an entertainer” by CBS’ David Dodd last month, who wrote that Sanders’ football acumen has yet to be truly praiseworthy as a coach.

So, maybe that’s why he was angry, but he didn’t seem to confirm.

Sanders also went after a Denver Post reporter, wondering why his outlet didn’t like his team.

“You don’t like us, man. Why do you do this to yourself?” Sanders asked.

“No, I’m serious. Why do you do this? Like you know you don’t. Like why do you do this?”

The reporter said his initial question was about football, but Sanders did not seem to take that for a satisfactory answer.

“Like what did we do to you?” Sanders asked.

Colorado begins its season on Aug. 29 against North Dakota State in what is shaping up to be another eventful season.
