New York Times Report About Kamala’s Support for Israel Arms Embargo is “Right-Wing Misinformation”

Whom are you gonna believe, what Kamala said or what her party insists she said?

There is zero ambiguity about what happened. This is how the New York Times reported it.

Before her rally in Detroit, Vice President Kamala Harris spoke briefly with the co-founders of the Uncommitted National Movement, which mobilized tens of thousands of voters in Michigan to withhold their votes from President Biden in the primary earlier this year over his support for Israel’s war in Gaza. Abbas Alawieh and Layla Elabed said they were in the welcoming line for Harris and Governor Walz, and communicated to Harris that they wanted to support her but that voters wanted her to consider an arms embargo to immediately stop the carnage in the besieged enclave.

Harris listened to stories of people in Michigan who have had dozens of family members killed in Gaza. The leaders asked to meet with her about the embargo request, and she indicated she was open to it, and introduced the two leaders to her staff.

What the New York Times did not report was that…

  1. Layla Elabed is Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s sister and Abbas Alawieh is a former Tlaib staffer.
  2. They had a special invite to meet with Kamala

“The meeting was not a random chance encounter. While roughly 15,000 people attended her rally in Michigan with her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, only a small fraction of those attendees were invited by the campaign to the “photo line” to briefly meet Harris and pose for a picture with her.”

Since then the Kamala campaign and her various proxies and allies have denied the New York Times report (without ever mentioning the paper) and have taken to claiming that it’s right-wing “misinformation”.

The Jewish Democratic Council of America claimed that “MAGA Republicans” had “spread the dangerous, flat-out lie that Vice President Harris supports an arms embargo against Israel.”

It sent out a press release claiming that the “Republican campaign of lies and disinformation is well underway in this campaign, and – similar to past elections – they are using Israel as a political wedge issue. Today, they are spreading the flat-out lie that Vice President Harris supports an arms embargo against Israel.”

The actual report came from the “MAGA Republicans” of the New York Times.

Erica L Green is the Times’ black female White House correspondent. As far from MAGA as it gets.

Unable to counter it, the JDCA is simply lying and attributing Kamala’s own words and those of the New York Times to “MAGA Republicans”.
