Russia has made a habit of dropping bombs on its own.
The U.K.’s Ministry of Defense said Saturday a Russian air fighter let bombs loose on the border city of Belgorod on May 4.
The friendly fire incident, which left five people injured and damaged 30 homes and 10 cars, was not the first time Moscow’s missiles landed on one of its own cities.
“This is not an isolated incident,” the U.K. intelligence asserted.
In February, a bomb was dropped on Soloti, about 95 miles southeast of Bolgorod and about 40 miles from the Ukraine border, forcing the evacuation of 150 people.
The report claimed there were up to 20 “lost munitions accidentally dropped in the Belgorod region” in March and April alone.
“These instances indicate Russia’s continued inability to successfully employ their munitions on intended targets,” the Ministry of Defense observed. “Such errors have destructive and lethal consequences for the Russian population.”
