The Biden administration already had a mini-arms embargo on Israel and rolling slowdowns on arms shipments. A full arms embargo would take away too much leverage but Kamala claimed to be open to it.
Before her rally in Detroit, Vice President Kamala Harris spoke briefly with the co-founders of the Uncommitted National Movement, which mobilized tens of thousands of voters in Michigan to withhold their votes from President Biden in the primary earlier this year over his support for Israel’s war in Gaza. Abbas Alawieh and Layla Elabed said they were in the welcoming line for Harris and Governor Walz, and communicated to Harris that they wanted to support her but that voters wanted her to consider an arms embargo to immediately stop the carnage in the besieged enclave.
Harris listened to stories of people in Michigan who have had dozens of family members killed in Gaza. The leaders asked to meet with her about the embargo request, and she indicated she was open to it, and introduced the two leaders to her staff.
The Uncommitted National Movement, which falsely claims credit for all the uncommitted votes cast in the Dem primaries, is something called Arab Americans for Progress.
Abbas Alawieh was a Rep. Cori Bush and Rep. Rashida Tlaib staffer out of Dearborn: the nation’s Jihadist capital. He had already met with White House officials to get them to come out against the Jewish State.
Layla Elabed, Rashida Tlaib’s sister, came out of ACCESS, a group that appeared in my Election Jihad report, and then went on to We the People.
So Kamala’s people knew exactly who she was meeting with, allies and kin of Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the most openly pro-terrorist politician in Congress, and was willing to offer them an arms embargo on Israel.
