Fake Vice Presidents and Effective Lawsuits

The News Cycle is almost impossible to track these days. At least, to do so fully.

That’s where we come in.

In the Badlands News Brief, the Badlands Media team hand pick news items of interest from the previous days to give you an overview of the biggest goings-on relevant to the Truth Community with some Badlands flavoring to help wash it down.

Now, onto the news from Tuesday, August 6 …

Harris decides on Tim Walz as running mate

Vice President Kamala Harris has chosen Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota as her running mate, elevating the former teacher and Army National Guard veteran to join the Democratic ticket and help lead the party’s fight to defeat Donald Trump.

The selection – which Harris personally delivered to Walz via a video call, according to a source familiar with the matter – caps the Midwestern Democrat’s short but swift ascent from a relative unknown to a leading driver of the party’s attacks against the former president and the MAGA agenda.

Walz emerged from the most accelerated vice presidential search in modern history from a shortlist that included half a dozen Democrats, including Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly. The vice president held in-person interviews with Walz, Shapiro and Kelly on Sunday.

While Harris and Walz did not enjoy much of a previous relationship, aides said Harris grew increasingly enthused by how Walz genuinely carried himself and found a warm chemistry with him during a final meeting Sunday at her residence at the Naval Observatory. Harris was impressed “by his authenticity,” a person close to the process told CNN.

At a Tuesday rally in Philadelphia, their first joint appearance together, Walz portrayed himself as both a folksy Midwestern everyman and an attack dog for Harris.

“Thank you for bringing back the joy,” he said to Harris as he took the lectern, saying he is “thrilled to be on this journey” with her and second gentleman Doug Emhoff.

“We’ve got 91 days. We’ll sleep when we’re dead,” Walz told the crowd. “Over those 91 days, and every day in the White House, I’ll have Vice President Harris’ back every single day – and we’ll have yours.” — CNN

Our Take: I’m not going to sit here and pretend I have some magical take on Tim Walz none of you have either read or thought of yourselves over the course of the last 24 hours.

In fact, I’m not going to pretend I particularly care about Tim Walz or his selection as Fake Veep-in-waiting to the current Fake Veep in waiting (h/t

.)

What I am interested in, as always, is the effects this deployment will visit on the direction of the War of Stories, which is to say, its mass psychological impact on the Collective Mind.

As far as political deployments go, I don’t think this is a seismic one, but the word that pops into my mind is “branding” when I consider the establishment’s early rhetorical posture in its wake.

The party that Donald Trump has been branding as a hotbed for the sort of radical leftism that’s been subverting and destroying American individualism for the better part of a generation has just branded itself … well, EXACTLY that.

Which either means this really is all a movie—and that we’re fully into the black comedy phase—or these people really are that stupid. —

Rumble Joins X In Massive Lawsuit Against 'Advertising Cartel'

Social media platform X has filed a lawsuit against an 'advertising cartel' who have colluded to control online speech, as revealed on last month by an interim staff report released by the House Judiciary Committee.

In a Tuesday filing against the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) and several members - including CVS Health, Mars, Orsted and Unilever, X alleges that the group abused its influence over marketers and ad agencies to unfairly discriminate against X, prompting an ad boycott.

"These actions were all against the unilateral self-interest of the advertisers; they made economic sense only in furtherance of a conspiracy performed in the confidence that competing advertisers were doing the same," reads the complaint.

In an open letter, X CEO Linda Yaccarino alleged that GARM's "behavior is a stain on a great industry, and cannot be allowed to continue," adding "It's also clear that there are likely others who suffered at the hands of this activity. This case is about more than damages - we have to fix a broken ecosystem that allows this illegal activity to occur."

Shortly after lawsuit was filed, video-sharing platform Rumble joined the lawsuit.

The conspiracy centers around an initiative called the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM), created by the WFA, that established arbitrary standards for the content on digital platforms where its members may want to advertise. GARM used those one-size-fits-all standards to perpetrate an advertiser boycott against Rumble and other platforms. The suit also notes that GARM has vast reach since it counts the six largest ad agency holding companies among its members, including defendant WPP.

The House report details a coordinated effort by the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and its Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) initiative to demonetize and suppress disfavored content across the internet. — ZeroHedge

Our Take: Now, I know that X is a censored platform— I, myself, am very much shadow-banned, probably due to the subject matter of my takes— and that is an issue that needs to be addressed in a direct manner. But this situation is something different, a battle that absolutely must be waged.

For those who want some background, I’ll direct you to Mike Benz:

So the losers at the CIA are now jealous because their mockingbird can no longer sing? And they can’t beat us on an even playing field, so they have to rig the game—yet again?

That’s fine. Tie both our hands around our back. Blindfold us. Muzzle us. Pay off the referee.

All of these measures put in place, and more… and we are still winning.

Imagine what will happen when these weights are taken off our ankles? Even with only selective free speech on X, the net effect has been devastating for the status quo. None of that damage can be undone.

Yes, we must remain vigilant, and wary of gatekeepers and limited hangouts. (The GOP can pound sand. Con Inc, too.) But our success as a movement is undeniable, and we are doing it with significant disadvantages.

Sometimes we lose sight of the incredible progress we’ve made while slogging through the daily grind of the information war. We have become the infinite player, and we will win as long as we continue moving forward and finish the game.

All we have to do is finish the game.

And now Elon is talking about… RICO?

Do you think he’s talking about NewsGuard? Jules Kroll? K2 Integrity?

Oh, and Elon is interviewing Trump on Monday? Wonder what they’ll talk about. —

America First Legal sues Maricopa County recorder over not removing non-citizens from voter rolls

America First Legal has sued Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer over not removing non-citizens from the county voter rolls.

On Monday, AFL filed a lawsuit against Richer, on behalf of Strong Communities Foundation of Arizona and a registered voter and naturalized citizen, for allegedly refusing to verify the citizenship of voters registered in the county.

AFL sent letters to all 15 Arizona counties on July 16, demanding county election officials follow state and federal law by ensuring non-citizens were unable to vote, warning that legal action would be pursued if they didn’t by the following week.

Richer replied through his attorney, claiming that he was following the law by verifying the citizenship of voters. However, AFL argues that Richer’s claim is false because county voter rolls have had an increase in the number of registered voters without confirmed citizenship while he has served in office, and that databases have not been accessed to verify voters’ citizenship.

AFL has sued Richer for allegedly violating state law by not performing the monthly list maintenance required to verify the citizenship status of registered voters who have not provided proof of citizenship.

In Arizona, registered voters without proof of citizenship can vote only in federal elections, not state elections.

The lawsuit alleges the number of registered voters without proof of citizenship has jumped from 21,595 in April to 26,108 in July. — Just the News

Our Take: This lawsuit is reminiscent of Judicial Watch vs Griswold in Colorado, which ended with the Secretary of State entering a Consent Decree in 2023.

It’s important to understand how radical the Democracy! crowd has become. They believe that citizenship verification to register is voter suppression. They believe that voter ID is voter suppression. They believe that signature verification is voter suppression.

The progressive elections lobby believes that any eligibility check is an unnecessary poll test, and they openly advocate for the elimination of all ballot security measures.

They want ineligible voters on the rolls.

They need ineligible voters on the rolls.

Why is that? The obvious answer is that they want to cheat. Voter roll hygiene is ground zero for scalable election fraud. This lawsuit is a good thing, but you can bet your bottom democracy that the blueanon lawfare entities will show up in force.

Hold the line. —

Revealed: US neo-Nazi terror group aims to revive activities ahead of election

While far-right extremists from all corners of the internet are targeting vice-president Kamala Harris as she takes the reins of the Democratic ticket, one of the longer standing US-based neo-Nazi terror groups is also attempting to continue its covert activities as the presidential election season begins in earnest.

Rinaldo Nazzaro, 51, a former Pentagon contractor and analyst at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) turned founder of the Base, wrote on his personal Telegram account that he’s seeking a stateside leader for his organization and is willing to pay them a salary of up to $1,200 a month.

The Russia-based leader, who is the subject of an FBI investigation and once called a Department of Justice “matter” by a US government official, is not known to have set foot in the US in years. With the recent surge in racially motivated riots in the United Kingdom, authorities across the west have become increasingly concerned with Russian sponsorship of far-right extremists.

The Base was considered a domestic terrorism threat in the lead up to the 2020 presidential election campaign. The group adheres to the principles of accelerationism; a hyper violent political doctrine calling on followers to hasten the collapse of society through acts of terrorism. — The Guardian

Our Take: Man, this story glows harder than John Podesta at a DC rave. Could they make it any more obvious that this group is a construct of the Five Eyes intelligence array?

For starters, the name: "The Base." It's the exact same name given to [CIA-created] al-Qaeda, which is Arabic for... "The Base." Both groups just happen to push violent fascism and ethno-supremacy. A coincidence, I'm sure.

According to Wikipedia, The Base (I'm going to call them "Anglo-al-Qaeda") operates in the US, Canada, Australia, South Africa and Europe. They have been designated a terrorist organization by Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The Five Eyes alliance includes the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Are we recognizing the pattern, yet?

The founder of this group is Rinaldo Nazzaro.

According to a 2020 BBC article about him—which reads more like a commissioned press release—Nazzaro has praised al-Qaeda (see?) and has put out social media posts seeking "volunteers possessing various skills, including with weapons, for his new organisation."

The article also says that he is a "military veteran, a former CIA field officer, and a defence studies expert."

How about one of his associates being a Canadian combat veteran with a specialty in explosives?

Seriously, guys? Operation Gladio?

(But wait, there's more!)

The article ends by mentioning a separate article about Nazarro that was published the day before, but was totally independent and not part of a coordinated effort to legitimize Nazarro and The Base in the eyes of the public. It would be wrongthink to suggest otherwise-- great minds just think alike!

The Guardian article claims that Nazarro pushes an "accelerationist" ideology, which is a term I (and others) have been using to describe Donald Trump's nonviolent plan to save America and the world from globalism. Though even The Guardian's investigative team openly speculates whether Nazarro is a federal agent, and whether The Base is nothing more than a honeypot trap to catch unwitting actors.

What's odd to me is that Nazarro appears to be a devout Roman-Catholic of Italian descent, having attending a Catholic high school, a Catholic university (Villanova) for college, and even has a quote in his college yearbook about Mary Magdalen being the disciple closest to Jesus. But we also have reports of this neo-nazi organization and its affiliates (Order of Nine Angels) engaging in satanic rituals involving animal sacrifice? None of that makes any sense.

As The Guardian reports:

"Property record searches revealed that three 10-acre blocks of undeveloped land [in Washington state] were purchased in December 2018 for $33,000 in the name of a Delaware LLC called “Base Global”."

33? That is a sacred number in the masonic lodge. The article also points out that Nazarro's security consulting firm—a common front, for intelligence operations—Omega Solutions International, had an address on K Street in DC, where all the lobbying firms are located.

Finally, I have also found a series of Freedom of Information Act requests (on the website, MuckRock) from somebody named Jason Wilson that were filed one week after these stories were published in 2020. The requests were filed with every relevant agency, seeking information on Omega Solutions International and Rinaldo Nazarro. Every agency responded, claiming it had no information on these entities.

Huh? How can The Base be a "major counter terrorism focus for the FBI," yet they claim to have no information on Nazarro or his security firm?

The alarm bells are going off that this guy is a spook, and this whole thing is an op to subvert messaging and frame earnest citizen journalists like Badlands Media as terrorists. —

Why China Is Doubling Down on Nuclear Weapons—Experts Weigh in

Experts have shared what they believe are the factors driving China's rapid nuclear weapons buildup under President Xi Jinping, a trend that has Washington worried.

A recent bipartisan commission's report to Congress highlighted concerns over China's establishment of a "full-fledged nuclear triad," alongside nuclear threats posed by Russia and North Korea. In light of these developments, the commission said that it is essential for the U.S. to continue modernizing its nuclear capabilities at a comparable pace.

Under President Xi Jinping, Beijing has rapidly expanded and modernized its nuclear arsenal. While China currently possesses fewer nuclear weapons than the U.S. or Russia, the Pentagon and the independent Stockholm International Peace Institute say the East Asian country could double its stockpile of an estimated 500 warheads to 1,000 by the end of the decade.

Tong Zhao, a senior fellow with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace think tank, in a research paper published in July, cited several factors driving the expansion of nuclear weapons capabilities in Xi Jinping's China.

Zhao noted that Xi's concerns about perceived U.S. strategic hostility have directly driven increased Chinese nuclear investments.

He said that as the "power gap" between the U.S. and China narrows, Beijing believes an insecure Washington is "seeking to contain, disrupt, and destabilize China in an effort to impede China's growth and preserve U.S. dominance in the international system." — Newsweek

Our Take: Whatever your personal views are on the ubiquity, danger or existence of nuclear weaponry ... focus on the signal.

The MSM claims China is doubling down on its nuclear arsenal, which they measure in terms of number of warheads in the nation's stockpile.

(Of course, the fact that we're told just one warhead could wipe cities off the map never seems to align with attempts to monger by pointing to a quantitative approach to the danger represented by LOTS of the thing that, by its supposed nature, you don't need a lot OF to do serious damage.)

Leaving that aside, I personally like to visualize the attached bar graph as countries who are doubling down on a Nuclear future ... you know, the one they stole from us at the advent of the 1960s in the post-Eisenhower America.

Replace the word "warheads" with "reactors," and you might begin to see the beginnings of a beautiful inversion. —

"This Boxer Is Male": IBA Holds Press Conference To Address Olympic Gender Issue

The International Boxing Association (IBA) held a press conference Monday and categorically confirmed that the two fighters currently participating in Olympic women’s boxing are “male,” because they failed a previous gender chromosome test.

As we have highlighted, a furore has erupted over Lin Yu-ting of Taiwan and Imane Khelif of Algeria who are both now in the semi-finals of the women’s boxing in Paris. Both fighters were previously disqualified from competing in the women’s category by the IBA.

During the IBA gathering, CEO Chris Roberts said that the 2022 test results for the fighters by an independent laboratory in Istanbul “demonstrated the chromosomes we refer to in competition rules that make both boxers ineligible.”

Roberts emphasised that both Khelif and Yu-ting were informed that they tested positive for XY chromosomes and were allowed to appeal the findings to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, with the IBA offering to cover the costs. Roberts noted that Yu-ting chose not to appeal, and Khelif did initially but then withdrew the appeal.

Both boxers were then re-tested in India during the 2023 Women’s World Boxing Championships, with the same results being recorded. — Modernity News

Our Take: Two dudes are going to win two women’s medals in boxing at the Paris Olympics.

‘Khelif is scheduled to fight later today in the Welterweight semi-final, and Yu-ting will fight tomorrow in the Featherweight semi-final.’

The International Boxing Association (IBA) has confirmed that the two fighters are male, according to gender tests they undertook before being disqualified by the IBA.

The IOC insists that no one can possibly know what a woman is, so Y-chromes are welcome to beat up the fairer sex, as long as it’s in pursuit of Olympic gold. Madness.

The IOC position is inconsistent with their position in Men’s volleyball, where they deferred to the sport to determine the eligibility of a convicted child rapist. Details.

The fighters are guaranteed to leave the games with medals. They just have to beat up a couple more women first. —

Biden briefed that Iran attack timing and details still unclear, U.S. officials say

President Biden and Vice President Harris were told by their national security team on Monday that it is still unclear when Iran and Hezbollah are likely to launch an attack against Israel and what specifically the attack might entail, three U.S. officials told Axios.

Why it matters: Biden administration officials say they are working to prepare for countering the possible attacks and mobilizing diplomatic pressure on Iran and Hezbollah to try to minimize their retaliation for the assassinations by Israel of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and Hezbollah's top military commander in Beirut.

Driving the news: Secretary of State Antony Blinken told his G7 counterpart on Sunday that Iran and Hezbollah could attack Israel as soon as the next 24-48 hours, Axios reported.

But in the meeting Biden and Harris had with the National Security Council in the White House Situation Room on Monday the assessment was more nuanced, U.S. officials said.

The officials said Biden and Harris were told U.S. intelligence expects a scenario involving two waves of attacks — one from Hezbollah and one from Iran and several of its other proxies.

But it was still unclear to U.S. intelligence who is going to attack first and what kind of attack they are are going to conduct, the officials said. — Axios

Armed Migrant Gangs Stalk UK While Government Cracks Down On Native Brits

It's a story we've seen before.  In the US and Europe during the pandemic lockdowns, far-left rioting and looting in the name of BLM was widely celebrated by the corporate media and protected by government officials.  The lockdown mandates were not enforced when it came to progressive unrest.  Conservative anti-mandate protesters, on the other hand, were treated as terrorists and governments were quick to censor, suppress and intimidate.  A two tier policing system and legal system bubbled to the surface.

Wherever conservative, nationalist or "right wing" protests arise in the west the full force of government power is applied to frighten the public into compliance.  It might be to enforce covid mandates or it might be to prevent the populace from questioning open border policies.  In the UK The mask has truly come off.  The message? You will accept mass immigration from the third world, or else...

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's recent announcement on the government response to British protests are highly revealing.  To summarize, indigenous and "right wing" Brits are not allowed to take to the streets (or online) because their ideology is "wrong."  Armed Muslim migrant gangs and leftists are apparently free to do whatever they please. — ZeroHedge
