Kamala Harris has reportedly chosen liberal Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her vice presidential running mate in an apparent attempt to strengthen the Democrat ticket in Midwestern states.

Walz, 60, is known for his delayed response to the destructive George Floyd riots in Minneapolis in the summer of 2020, and his draconian COVID lockdown measures, which included a snitch line to report on those thought to be violating the state’s edicts. He is also radically pro-abortion, pro-sanctuary city, pro-child mutilation, and anti-fracking.

Additionally, a group of retired Command Sergeants Major of the Minnesota National Guard came forward in 2018 to accuse Walz of “embellish[ing] and selectively omitt[ing] facts and circumstances of his military career for years.”

In recent days, Walz has been all over the media parroting the Harris campaign’s “mean-girl” taunts depicting former President Donald Trump’s VP pick, Senator J.D. Vance, as “weird.”

“[H]e’s been a disaster for Minnesota and is by far the most partisan governor that I can remember having,” Minnesota GOP Chairman David Hann told Fox News Digital. “Going back to 2020, certainly—he did nothing to try to stop the riots going on in Minneapolis. I think he was fearful of alienating his ‘progressive’ base, who were supporting the riots. Kamala Harris was raising money for the rioters.”

Walz allowed Black Lives Matter and antifa rioters to rampage throughout the city for three nights before calling for the National Guard to be deployed. The heavy rioting from May 27, 2020, to the overnight hours of May 29, 2020, resulted in an estimated $500 million of damages to 1,500 property locations, 604 arrests, 164 instances of arson, and two riot-related deaths. Minnesota news outlet Alpha News produced a documentary entitled “the Fall of Minneapolis” last year shedding light on the tragic impacts of Walz’s mismanagement during the George Floyd riots, including the collapse of law and order.

Due to Walz’s weak leadership during and after the riots, the Twin Cities and the entire state saw an abrupt  increase in violent crime. “While violent crime slightly decreased in 2023, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, it is still higher than pre-pandemic levels,” Fox News reported.

Many Minnesota residents still resent the Democrat’s draconian policies during the COVID pandemic.

On July 21, 2020, Walz issued a general mask mandate requiring all Minnesota residents to wear masks in public settings.The mandate lasted until May 14, 2021. During the early days of the pandemic, the governor’s administration purchased a $5.6 million morgue to store “human remains” during the COVID-19 pandemic and “it went completely unused,” Alpha News reported.

Walz also set up a hotline so residents could snitch on neighbors who violated the state’s COVID-19 mandates. His administration oversaw the largest pandemic fraud case in the country with 70 Somali and East African Minnesotans charged in the $250 million scheme.

On the issue of abortion, Walz is thought to be almost as radical as Harris.

On January 31, 2023, the governor signed a law enshrining abortion-on-demand, without limits, for any reason, until birth. He also signed bills cutting funding for a program supporting pregnant women and stripping the right of newborn babies who survive abortions to receive lifesaving care.

“Harris-Walz is the most pro-abortion, baby killing, ticket we’ve ever seen in America,” wrote Students for Life president Kristan Hawkins on X.

The Democrat is also far to the left of most Americans on the issue of gender ideology, especially as it concerns children.

In March of 2023, Walz signed an executive order that made Minnesota a sanctuary state for parents who want to transition their children. He later signed legislation that established the state as a “trans refuge” for parents seeking transgender medical procedures for their children.

Critics warned that the legislation would open the door for Minnesota parents to lose custody of their children if they refuse to act on their (most likely) temporary gender confusion.

“The most insidious aspect of this bill is the language that adds children who are being denied ‘gender-affirming care’ (defined as everything from therapy to hormone blockers, to transition surgery) to what amounts to the definition for a child ‘in need of protection or services’ in Minnesota, allowing the courts to take ‘emergency custody’ of the child,” said Bob Roby, a licensed attorney in Minnesota.

In another over the top move in June of 2023,  Walz signed a bill requiring Minnesota schools to stock tampons in boys’ bathrooms.

The governor, not surprisingly, also supports sanctuary city policies for illegal immigrants and signed a bill allowing illegals to obtain drivers licenses—effectively registering them to vote through the state’s “Automatic Voter Registration” law that was approved in 2023.

Walz is originally from Nebraska and was arrested there in 1995 for a DUI, Alpha News reported.

In 2018, a group of former National Guard members came forward to accuse Walz dodging deployment to Iraq and engaging in “Stolen Valor” by identifying as a Sergeant Major after his rank was reduced to Master Sergeant.

Their piece, titled “The Truth About Tim Walz,” was published in the West Central Tribune as a paid endorsement letter to the editor.

In late summer of 2003, First Sergeant Walz deployed with the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Italy. The mission was to augment United States Air Force Europe Security Forces doing base security for six months. In no way were the units or Soldiers of the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion replacing any units or military forces so they could deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan.

After the units return to Minnesota in the spring of 2004, he was selected by high level Command Sergeants Major to serve in the position of the Command Sergeant Major of the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion.

On August 5th, 2004 he was photographed holding a sign at a protest outside a President Bush campaign rally in southern Minnesota.

On September 17th, 2004 he was conditionally promoted to Command Sergeant Major. The conditions had been outlined to him when he was counseled and he signed the Statement of Agreement and Certification. If the conditions are not met, the promotion is null and void, like it never happened.

In early 2005, a warning order was issued to the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion, which included the position he was serving in, to prepare to be mobilized for active duty for a deployment to Iraq.

On May 16th, 2005 he quit, leaving the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion and its Soldiers hanging; without its senior Non-Commissioned Officer, as the battalion prepared for war. His excuse to other leaders was that he needed to retire in order to run for congress. Which is false, according to a Department of Defense Directive, he could have run and requested permission from the Secretary of Defense before entering active duty; as many reservists have. If he had retired normally and respectfully, you would think he would have ensured his retirement documents were correctly filled out and signed, and that he would have ensured he was reduced to Master Sergeant for dropping out of the academy. Instead he waited for the paperwork to catch up to him. His official retirement document states, SOLDIER NOT AVAILABLE FOR SIGNATURE.

On September 10th, 2005 conditionally promoted Command Sergeant Major Walz was reduced to Master Sergeant. It took a while for the system to catch up to him as it was uncharted territory, literally no one quits in the position he was in, or drops out of the academy. Except him.

In November of 2005, while the battalion trained for war at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, it received an offer from retired Master Sergeant Walz. He offered to fund raise for the battalions bus trip home over Christmas that year.

The 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion was deployed for 22 months in 2006 – 2007. During this time, they were restricted by Army regulations and could not speak out against a candidate for office. In November 2006 he was elected to the House of Representatives. He claims to be the highest-ranking enlisted service member ever to serve in congress. Even though he was conditionally promoted to Command Sergeant Major less than eight months, quit before his obligations were met, and was reduced to Master Sergeant for retirement. Yes, he served at that rank, but was never qualified at that rank, and will receive retirement benefits at one rank below. You be the judge.

The Official Stolen Valor & Guardian of Valor X account confirmed that Walz’s rank “was ‘Administratively’ reduced for not completing the required educational requirements.”

“So he did hold the rank of CSM, but was subsequently reduced for this reason and receives retired pay for the rank of MSG. There were no disciplinary reasons for the reduction,” the Stolen Valor account said.

The governor has been one of Joe Biden’s most ardent supporters and was a surrogate for his reelection campaign. Even after Biden’s disastrous debate performance in June, Walz passionately defended Biden and gushed about the regime’s accomplishments.

After Biden dropped out of the race on July 21,  Walz called him “an American hero” on X and that history “will look fondly on his legacy.”
