Monday the Supreme Court denied Missouri’s bid to halt President Trump’s sentencing and gag order in the case of New York vs. President Trump.
Missouri claimed that the New York criminal proceeding infringed on the rights of Missouri voters to hear from presidential candidates.
From our friends at Fox News:
The claim was filed by Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, who is a Republican seeking a full term in the seat this fall.
“It’s disappointing that the Supreme Court refused to exercise its constitutional responsibility to resolve state v. state disputes,” Bailey said in a post on X. “I will continue to prosecute our lawsuit against @KamalaHarris @JoeBiden’s DOJ for coordinating the illicit prosecutions against President Trump.”
Trump was found guilty by a New York jury in May of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas indicated they would have permitted Missouri to submit a bill of complaint but would not have approved the additional relief the state sought.
See Bailey explain his concerns over the gag order:
The timing of this lawsuit seems suspect. And I’m not the only one who feels that way.

President Trump was convicted in New York on 34 counts of falsifying business records. Prosecutors allege that he attempted to cover up hush money payment. President Trump pled not guilty to these allegations.
BREAKING: 🚨 Donald Trump speaks out on Day 2 of his “hush money” payment trial.
“This is coming directly from the Biden White House. It’s because he can’t put two sentences together. He can’t campaign.”
