A San Bernardino teacher has been arrested on child pornography charges, and law enforcement is worried that he may have victimized more minors. 62-year-old Jack Daymond Allen was arrested for child pornography charges and potential additional sexual abuse crimes, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Department. Allen has been teaching at Mary Putnam Henck Intermediate School in Lake Arrowhead.

A release from the the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Department read, "On July 24, 2024, the Washington County District Attorney’s Office in Pennsylvania issued an arrest warrant for Allen for multiple child sexual abuse crimes. At the conclusion of the investigation, Allen was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino for an active arrest warrant. CAC investigators discovered Allen was also in possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and will later be supplementally booked for PC 311.11(a) Possession of Child Pornography."

Allen’s arrest follows an investigation by multiple agencies across state lines, including the Peters Township Police Department in Pennsylvania and the Department of Homeland Security. The investigation began in January 2024 when law enforcement discovered that Allen had contacted a minor online who was a resident of Pennsylvania.

A deeper investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department revealed that Allen was in possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). An arrest warrant was issued, and Allen was booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.

Law enforcement has reached out to the public for any additional information, expressing concern that there could be more young victims.

“Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Wendy Winegar of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Crimes Against Children Detail,"  the police statement added. “Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call the We-Tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463) or leave information on the We-Tip website at www.wetip.com.”
