Vice President Kamala Harris had the crowd roaring after she accidentally gave herself a promotion during her eulogy for the late Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas).
“She founded the Congressional Children’s Caucus. And as a leader who believed deeply that America’s true and full history must be acknowledged and honored, it was Sheila Jackson Lee whose bill made Juneteenth a federal holiday,” Harris said on Thursday.
She went on:
“Which, as a United States Senator, I was proud to co-sponsor. And then as president — as vice president, it was my honor — it was my honor, with the, with our president, Joe Biden, to stand beside Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee as our president signed her bill into law.”

As Harris corrected herself and continued to speak, the crowd roared with cheers at her slip-up.
The moment comes as Harris is the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee after President Joe Biden ended his re-election bid.
