Kamala Harris thought the Democrat Party had fallen in line behind after she became their presumptive Presidential nominee.

Now, she’s discovering the cold, harsh realities of Democrat politics in an election year.

And Kamala Harris was blindsided when Democrats turned on her over the border with this betrayal. 

Kamala Harris’ role as Border Czar become the hot issue

Vice President Kamala Harris has been enjoying her honeymoon period as Democrats’ new presumptive Presidential nominee.

She benefited from a surge of enthusiasm in donations and support from Democrats when President Joe Biden exited the race.

Republicans have been hammering Harris over her failed record as Biden’s Border Czar.

Democrats and their media allies are pushing back by falsely claiming she never had that job.

But a group of House Democrats tipped their hands that the border crisis is a problem for Harris.

House Republican Conference Chairwoman Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) introduced a resolution that condemned Harris for her failure to secure the southern border as Border Czar.

“No matter what congressional district you go to, the number one issue facing Americans is Kamala Harris’s open border crisis,” Stefanik said. “By every metric, Kamala Harris has failed to secure our borders, instead advancing far left Democrats’ failed open border policies and the needs of illegal immigrants over the safety of Americans.”

The resolution noted that Harris took 93 days as Border Czar before she made her first trip to the border in 2021 to visit El Paso, Texas, but that was 800 miles away from the Rio Grande Valley which was the flash point.

“President Biden’s and Border Czar Harris’s far left Democrat open border policies are to blame for this historic crisis [at the border],” the resolution states.

Vulnerable House Democrats condemn Harris’ border failures

The resolution “strongly condemning” Harris for her “failure to secure the United States border” passed the House by a 220-196 margin.

Six Democrats even voted to condemn Harris’ failure as Border Czar – Reps. Don Davis (R-NC), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), Jared Golden (D-ME), Yadira Caraveo (D-CO), Mary Peltola (D-AK), and Henry Cuellar (D-TX).

Every one of those six House Democrats represent Congressional Districts that are viewed as potential Republican pickups in November’s election and are doing everything they can to distance themselves from the Biden-Harris regime’s failures.

Voting to condemn Harris’ failure is simply a cheap, easy way to cover up their own failed records and pretend as though they’re not in lockstep with deeply unpopular woke extremists.

They know they’re going to hear about Harris and her role in the Biden-Harris border crisis this fall.

And they wouldn’t have voted in favor of the resolution if they didn’t think these attacks would be effective.

Golden, who represents a district in Maine that Trump carried in 2020, told the New York Post that he was “critical” of the Biden-Harris regime’s handling of the border.

“My position on the administration’s handling of the border has not changed,” Golden said. “I supported similar resolutions in the past and until provisions needed to secure our border — such as Title 42 and ‘Remain in Mexico’ — are adopted, I will continue to be critical of this administration.”

Democrats and their media allies want to hide Kamala Harris’ record on the border.

But Republicans are going to try to keep it front and center this election.
