A federal appeals court ruling has blocked implementation of the Biden-Harris Administration’s attempted rewrite of Title IX rules in four more states, thus bringing the total number of states with such injunctions up to 26.

As reported by Just The News, an injunction was granted to Oklahoma on Wednesday, followed by an emergency appeal that was granted on Thursday by the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, which affected the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.

The Education Department recently attempted to change Title IX discrimination rules in education, expanding them to include “gender identity” as a category of sexual discrimination. The new rules would force schools to allow so-called “transgender” students to use bathrooms and locker rooms of their choice, even the ones belonging to the opposite gender.

“The Department is enjoined from enforcing the final rule adopted on April 29, 2024, Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Sex in Education Programs or Activities Receiving Federal Financial Assistance…pending further order of this Court,” the court order declares.

Once the rewritten rules were finalized in April, the Biden-Harris Administration faced numerous legal challenges by various states, organizations, and individuals who denounced the new rules as unconstitutional. While the administration claims that it is trying to protect the rights of “transgender” students, critics say that the rules essentially eliminate the very concept of gender, erasing men’s and women’s identity and thus enabling gender-based discrimination, rather than cracking down on it.
