Air Force Goes Far Left, Says This Word Is Racist

Our military forces are becoming more and more awakened, and the Air Force is the next branch to have DEI/CRT/ESG (or whatever moniker it chooses to use) injected into its system.

According to Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), a 27-page handbook/memo from the 552nd Air Control Wing in Oklahoma is so very woke and full of complete foolishness that you would have to see it with your own eyes, or not. In order to save your brain cells, I’ll perform a breakdown for you.

First Lt. Isabelle Allen and Capt. Jacqueline Kingsley wrote the book, and this is what the title page describes:

“You can report any instances of prejudice or microaggression you may experience or see in the squadron to your leadership team anonymously by completing the ODS [Observations of Prejudice in the Squadron] form.”

What a pleasure, microaggressions! Who could have predicted the existence of such a phenomenon?

In any case, the first few pages provide some rambling advice on how to stop microaggressions, such as stating that you shouldn’t react angrily to someone who claims to have suffered a “microaggression” by responding, “Suck it up; that person could save your life in the field one day.” Rather, it is necessary to affirm the complaint.

It is true that there is discrimination and harassment in the military. It is essentially required for soldiers to joke about one another in the unit, in addition to being resilient (why do you believe drill instructors and sergeants are famously angry?).

As per the handbook, in order to eradicate “microaggressions” inside the unit, individuals must not be “tokenized.” That’s precisely what they mean when they say,

Highlighting a member of a minority group in conversations about discrimination can be beneficial.
Asking a person who lives in a minority group to put in the emotional work of eradicating offensive words or actions is daunting.
“I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this matter (pertaining to such a group) as a representative of [a marginalized group].”
Asking a member of a minority group to inform others about the prejudice they encounter is important.
Folks, which is it? How can you stop microaggressions without identifying the victim or getting their feedback? From that point on, the behavior only becomes more incredibly stupid.

It seems that calling someone your “spirit animal” is a grievance against Native Americans. Ironically, though, each tribe and nation has its own set of spiritual and religious beliefs, some of which may or may not involve spirit animals.

“Congratulations, you played yourself,” as DJ Khaled put it.

Similarly, labeling someone or anything as “savage” is unacceptable, despite the positive connotations of this term, as it obscures the history of violence against Indigenous peoples. It’s time for someone to alert 21 Savage and other frequent users of that word in hip-hop, vocalists, and rappers.

They also note the word “gypsy,” which is derogatory to the Roma people, so it makes some sense when used in that context, but how often do you hear that term used other than as a synonym for “wanderer” these days?

Hold on. It gets worse before it gets better. According to a genuine piece of American military literature, which I am quoting,

For example, squadron members may display posters in their offices that read, “Kneel for the cross, stand for the flag.” The context of this remark is a declaration of disapproval of a certain type of anti-racist protest, despite the fact that it may appear to be a harmless demonstration of Christian and patriotic ideals.”

To reiterate, an individual serving in our nation’s military has declared that it is considered racist to believe that a member of the armed forces should stand during the playing of the American national anthem. It only covers the first eight pages.

By the way, the writers unironically and genuinely recommend communist agitator Angela Davis for “continuous learning.” They then question why we are having trouble hiring.
