Vice President Kamala Harris’ inner circle throughout her political rise looks a little bit like President Biden’s: Some of her closest confidants are members of her own family — Second Gentleman Doug Emoff, her sister Maya Harris and her niece Meena.

Meena Harris, 39, is a Stanford and Harvard-educated lawyer, a children’s book author, a media executive who is owner of the feminist satire site Reductress and a TikTok influencer with more than 2.2 million followers.

She’s consistently used her megaphone to promote her aunt — especially after Kamala Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee for president.

Meena also heads media company Phenomenal Media that produces liberal-minded films and plays.

Her most recent project is backing transgender social media star Dylan Mulvaney’s one-woman show called “F–hag.”

The show, which premiers this week at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the UK, is described as “an ex-twink tries on a new label for size as she navigates dating, delusion and God through storytelling, stand-up and a musical number or two.”

Mulvaney, of course, was famously at the center of a major backlash against Bud Light after the beer brand partnered with her on social media to celebrate her “100 days of womanhood.” A massive boycott resulting from the Mulvaney spot cost the company up to $1.4 billion in sales.

“Dylan’s greatest hope is to bring trans stories and queer joy to mainstream media, and I’m honored to a small part of that team,” Meena Harris posted on Instagram earlier this week following previews of the show in London.

The show had an adult content warning, saying it “contains distressing or potentially triggering themes, graphic depictions of sexual acts, and strong language/swearing.”

Other liberal business ventures

It’s just that latest liberal media project for Meena, who has been one of Kamala Harris’ biggest public supporters.

Her Phenomenal Media acquired the feminist satirical website Reductress in 2022, which features merch with slogans like “don’t talk to me until I’ve had my abortion” and “I’m a dirty f—king sl—t for wine.”

Meena’s relationship with her aunt has also been scrutinized after she was accused of profiting off Kamala Harris’ likeness — even after she became vice president — by selling merch with Harris’ name and face on her website.

The practice drew a rebuke from the White House in 2021, with an anonymous White House official telling the Los Angeles Times: “Some things can’t be undone. That being said: Behavior needs to change.”

Meena Harris has produced other shows about queer children and has been a vocal advocate for liberal causes on social media.

She was a co-producer for “My Son’s A Queer (But What Can You Do?),” which is slated to premier on Broadway.

She has also previously spoken about her inspiration behind becoming a children’s author as being partly attributed to her not seeing enough diverse characters in the genre.

“We would often change the pronouns from he, to she, to they. We would take a brown marker and color skin in with brown marker sometimes. It all does truly go back to my grandmother. She always said, ‘Do something. What are you going to do about it?'” Meena Harris said of reading other books with her two daughters.

Meena’s “super close” relationship with Kamala

The entrepreneur has described her relationship with her aunt as “super close,” and has used Kamala Harris as a character in one of her children’s books.

Meena has stressed the importance of having “ambitious” female role models like her aunt in her life to dream big and “do something” instead of being a bystander.

“I talk to her all the time. We’re super close. It’s a special relationship. That very much is unchanged,” Meena Harris told People in 2021. “I’m grateful that we have that bond. It’s strong and I’m glad that it has not really been affected in any way by all the craziness.”

Maya Harris had Meena at 17 when she was still in high school, and Kamala helped raise her niece. Meena then served on her aunt’s presidential campaign in 2020 and then on the Biden-Harris campaign in communications and fundraising.

Since President Biden dropped out of the 2024 race and endorsed her aunt, Meena has posted Biden’s drop out tweet, a New York Times/ Siena poll showing the vice president in a tight race with former President Donald Trump and a picture of Kamala Harris and one of her daughters with the caption “auntie time.”

She has previously said that she does not necessarily have the same opinions as her aunt or Biden, but that she thinks its important to amplify certain issues online.

“I made the choice to be involved in the campaign, to engage in conversations around political issues. There are some times where I’m like I’m not f–king Kamala. I’m my own person. I may have different views than she does, and Joe does too by the way. But I think people just want to be heard. That is ultimately what that comes down to. People are looking for ways to communicate, to be heard, and I respect that, and I think it’s important to remind yourself that it’s not usually personal,” Meena Harris told The Cut in 2021.

Meena Harris’ agent and the Harris campaign did not respond to inquiries from The Post.
