What kind of presidential candidate raises money to keep violent criminals out of jail? It’s a question that Vice President Kamala Harris needs to answer.

The current vice president, and the newly presumptive Democratic nominee, previously supported and helped raise money for an organization that sought to keep violent criminals on the streets free to wreak havoc, cause harm, and hurt innocent people. Think about that every time you hear her cackle. She smiled and laughed while every day, normal Americans were suffering.

It’s important not to forget that Harris, who regularly mentions “protecting our democracy,” actively raised money to try to free rioters who burned down neighborhoods and looted stores during Black Lives Matter and antifa riots. These were people who actively tried to destroy our country and democracy. Yet these are the kind of people who Harris supported and actively worked to help escape punishment or accountability, as evidenced by her tweet on June 1, 2020.

“If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota,” Harris tweeted, a post still on her X account.

This is the new Democratic nominee for president.

Harris has tried to reinvent herself as a tough-on-crime former district attorney who wants to make the country safe again, to paraphrase a political campaign slogan slightly. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Her history shows that she supports violent criminals. Her propaganda and revisionist history are disingenuous and dishonest.

It’s hard to understand how a politician who supported people trying to destroy the country has any support while running for president.

Furthermore, if it wasn’t bad enough that a senator, now vice president (and possibly soon-to-be president), supported people who caused violent destruction and harmed others, consider that Freedom Fund, the organization Harris endorsed, helped post bail for numerous violent criminals. This means the woman who could be president raised money to keep dangerous people out of jail and on the streets. This includes murderers, rapists, and other violent criminals.

This is the new Democratic nominee.

For as much rhetoric as Harris espoused in her political career about racial minorities, Harris aided in raising money for an organization that willingly helps criminals who terrorize these communities. The criminals who Freedom Fund worked to keep out of jail made black and brown communities more dangerous, threatened the safety of innocent people in these areas, and, not to mention, needlessly endangered the lives of police officers in those areas who now had to do extra work after putting the bad guys away.

The Trump campaign made, arguably, a fantastic political ad highlighting some of the violent miscreants who were released due to help from the organization that Harris promoted on her X account.

According to the advertisement, the organization Harris helped promote raised over $100,000 and posted bail for Darnika Floyd, who was charged with second-degree murder, accused of stabbing a man in the heart in a jealous rage. Christopher Boswell was another person the Freedom Fund reportedly helped. Boswell was accused of kidnapping and sexual assault in 2020 and sexual assault in 2018. This was after Boswell was convicted in two separate rape cases in 2000. 

These are just two criminals. There were too many to name, many who committed similarly abhorrent offenses. However, the fact that someone is running for president who knowingly aided an organization that worked to keep murderers and rapists on the street should be disqualifying. And if not disqualifying, it should show the public the kind of person Kamala Harris truly is.

And why would anyone vote for such a person, believing she will benefit the country?

It’s bad enough that President Joe Biden and other elected Democrats advanced policies that contributed to criminals murdering innocent women such as Laken Riley. The country doesn’t need another Democratic politician who helps prioritize criminals over the safety of innocent people.
