Speaking during a Sunday, July 28 interview with Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis sounded off on the media’s attempts to make Vice President Kamala Harris look better by whitewashing and rebranding her history as Vice President and Senator.

The Florida governor’s comments on the matter came when Bartiromo asked him what he thinks of the media’s attempt to rebrand her now that she is the 2024 presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, asking, “What is your reaction to this new rewriting of history, rebranding of Kamala Harris?”

Responding, Gov. DeSantis told Bartiromo that the Biden-Harris Administration has been a disaster for America and for the Democratic Party, as the policies it has implemented have hurt America enough that they have put the Democrats in a  “very precarious situation” in the months before the 2024 election.

He then explained how the media is having to cover for her to hide that. Speaking on that matter, Gov. DeSantis said, “Now what you see is all the arteries of the left, the corporate media, Hollywood, academia. They’re using all the king’s horses and all the king’s men to try to put the Democratic Party back together again, and they have to whitewash Harris’ background to be able to make her palpable to the American people.”

Then, speaking more about the Vice President, who he called both “incredibly vapid” and “even more incredibly liberal,” Gov. DeSantis said, “She owns all the policies of the Biden-Harris administration! She owns the border. She owns the inflation. She was there cheerleading that every day for the last three and a half years.”

Returning to the issue of media gaslighting in an attempt to make VP Harris look better in the months before the 2024 election, Gov. DeSantis explained, “I don’t think it’s gonna work.” He continued, “But make no mistake about it. You are in for 100 days of massive gaslighting from the corporate press.”

He added, speaking further about the issue of the media’s attempts to boost Kamala, “You’re gonna see a blizzard of lies over the next few months. That’s what it’s gonna be about. There’s not gonna be any pushback from the entrenched corporate media. And they’re gonna try to rewrite history, and they’re gonna try to present her as something that she’s just not.”

Former President Donald Trump, sounding off on Kamala in a post on Truth Social, wrote, “Kamala Harris was the ORIGINAL Marxist District Attorney—she destroyed San Francisco, and she will destroy our Country. Harris supports ending cash bail nationwide, which means releasing violent criminals immediately after arrest. She wants to abolish jail sentences for parole violators, she endorsed DE-FUNDING THE POLICE, and she sponsored a bill to strip police officers of legal protection, leaving our communities at the mercy of deranged criminals and violent mobs!”

He also said, in another post about the VP, “Unlike Kamala Harris, under my leadership, we will NEVER defund the police—and we will give our heroes the protection, resources, and RESPECT they so dearly deserve!”
