The Olympics used to be an event that brought the whole world together in unity. Different nations rooting for their teams, watching their favorite races, games, matches, routines and so much more.

With the impending charade of men winning women’s sports looming over every competitive area, possibly including the Olympics, it must be brought back to a sane level where men are in fact, not beating women at their own sports.

Declaring themselves “transgender” or naming themselves with a different “gender identity,” the world is seeing men soar past women in their sports, records and statistics.

This is the case in a recent Washington State cycling race, the Marymoor Grand Prix.

According to National Review, “every two-competitor relay team that medaled in the elite women’s division… included a male athlete.” Half of the competitors on the women’s podium were not even women.

Identifying themselves as Jenna Lingwood — born male and formerly known as Jimmy — Eva Lin — born male and formerly known as Henry — and Jordan Lothrop, born male, all three had previously competed in male sports and done very well. But apparently, not well enough for them.

The race venue, Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome, warned the public it would “not tolerate bullying or derogatory comments especially related to race, creed, religious, gender identity, [and] sexual orientation,” reported The Daily Mail.

Recently, several cycling organizations have set regulations and restrictions on transgender-identified athletes competing.

According to Fox News, in July 2023, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announced it would “no longer allow transgender cyclists to compete in women’s divisions if they began transitioning after puberty.”

A short while later, USA Cycling announced very similar regulations. The organization categorized transgender athletes into two groups: A and B. Group A had to provide documentation showing a testosterone level below 2.5 nmol/L for at least 24 months, completed 90 days prior to the first race. Group B had to complete a “self-identity verification request to document the change in gender identity 30 days prior to the first race.”

The new regulations came amid an outrage because two transgender-identified athletes took first and second place at the Illinois State Cyclocross Championships in October.

The Daily Mail writes, “the debate over whether transgender women [men] should be allowed to compete in female sports is one of the most contentious social issues of the moment.”

That’s why it is so important to fight for women in women’s sports now, as this issue will only get worse and harder to fight the longer we allow it to continue.
