Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany is criticizing the media for its response to President Joe Biden’s reaction to anti-Israel protests.
On Thursday, Biden delivered a short statement about anti-Israel protests and condemned violent demonstrations.
However, McEnany blasted the president for his comments.
“Joe Biden hails from the left, he is a Democrat president. I’m sorry, but I give him no credit today. Zero credit today,” she, adding, “I like to give Biden credit when credit is due. Not today.”
McEnany argued, “Biden speaks today because politically, the moment demanded it.”
She then listed things the president did over the last week instead of addressing the protests such as attending the White House Correspondents Dinner or sitting down for an interview with Howard Stern.

President Biden has chosen to lead from behind on the antisemitic protests & does not deserve credit for speaking up 9 days late while under political pressure.
The FORMER President — NOT the CURRENT President — has been the moral authority on this issue.

McEnany went on to blast the press for letting Biden “get away” with his comments.
“Here’s the sad part. The press will let him get away with this. If Donald Trump had delivered those exact same remarks in the exact same timeline, the White House Press briefing room would be at a fever pitch, I would be yelled at, he would be yelled at,” she said.
McEnany went on, “We would be asked, ‘Do you denounce the support from any antisemitic protester?’ And unless we denounced every young person in the country, that wouldn’t be enough.”
Speaking at the White House on Thursday, Biden said, “Let me be clear, violent protest is not protected, peaceful protest is. It’s against the law when violence occurs. Destroying property is not a peaceful protest, it’s against the law.”
“Vandalism, trespassing, breaking windows, shutting down campuses, forcing the cancellation of classes and graduations, none of this is a peaceful protest,” he continued.
Biden added, “Threatening people, intimidating people, instilling fear in people is not a peaceful protest. It’s against the law.”
His comments come after law enforcement arrested over 300 people at Columbia University and City College as officers clear pro-Palestinian encampments and after violence broke out between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Additionally, over 100 protesters were arrested as law enforcement cleared a pro-Palestinian camp on the UCLA campus on Wednesday.
