Tucker Carlson became the most influential voice in media by hosting his Fox News show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, which was the highest-rated show on cable news.

But last April, his run at Fox News came to an end when the network’s executives chose to fire him without ever really giving any explanation.

Now, Carlson is building his own independent media company, the Tucker Carlson Network, complete with a host of online shows, including his flagship, Tucker Carlson Show.

Carlson’s name has reportedly become off-limits at Fox News since his departure.

The Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee put the cable news network in an awkward position.

Carlson was one of the scheduled speakers in a primetime slot that Fox News would usually air live.

But no one was sure how they would treat their former host’s speech.

Carlson’s speech at the RNC became his first appearance on Fox News since he left the network 15 months ago.

“I have never been to a more fun convention or a convention with better vibes,” Carlson said before his address. 

He gave an impassioned speech in support of former President Donald Trump. 

Fox News Jesse Watters, who took over Carlson’s primetime 8:00 P.M. time slot for Fox News, gave a shout out to Carlson after his 11-minute speech.

“That was Tucker Carlson,” Watters said. “You may remember him from the 8 o’clock hour here.”

Carlson was the first person to speak to Trump when he arrived at his VIP suite at the Republican National Convention on Monday night, as the former President invited the media mogul to sit with him and his family during the first night of the event.

“I guess they thought at Fox they would limit his reach,” Trump advisor Roger Stone told the Washington Post.

And Carlson was one of the loudest voices – alongside Donald Trump Jr. – in lobbying the former President to pick Senator J.D. Vance as his Vice Presidential running mate.

Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch pushed Trump to pick North Dakota RINO Governor Doug Burgum or Senator Marco Rubio (RINO-FL) as his Vice Presidential pick.

He was lobbying for anyone but Vance at the end.

Carlson reportedly called Trump in June and told him to ignore Murdoch’s advice.

“When your enemies are pushing a running mate on you, it’s a pretty good sign you should ignore them,” Carlson reportedly told Trump.

Punchbowl News founder Jake Sherman reported that Carlson and Murdoch were spotted in the same hotel but didn’t speak.

Carlson also made an appearance in the green room for Fox News at the GOP convention with Donald Trump, Jr. before the former President’s son appeared on Hannity.

He reportedly talked to his former colleagues Jeanine Pirro, Jesse Watters, and Brit Hume while he was there.

Tucker Carlson is no longer on cable news, but he’s still one of the most influential media figures in American history.
