A British Airways pilot is under investigation for allegedly filming himself spanking a naked crew member with a riding crop, or flexible whip. He reportedly sent the explicit video to a friend, court documents show. Tim Capron, 37, of Taplow in Berkshire, has been charged with one count of voyeurism. He is accused of filming the sexually explicit act without consent and then sending photographs and videos to a colleague via WhatsApp, as reported by The Times.

Capron reportedly met the victim, who was a crew member, on the dating app Tinder. He discussed his sex fantasies and fetishes with her, according to court records. Before spanking the victim, he reportedly told her to put on a blindfold and then hit her on the bottom with a crop. Capron, an Oxford graduate who earned £90,000 as a pilot for British Airways, was arrested in September 2021 and has been suspended from the airline with full pay. He denied any wrongdoing in court. The victim reported him to police.

The female victim told the crown court that Capron issued an admission of guilt and told her: "I am so sorry. I am glad that you caught me doing it because I should not have done it." During the trial, it was revealed that Capron texted the videos to British Airways colleague and pilot, Steve Farnworth. The text read: "When I have got her blindfolded is it safe for you to see a few videos?"

Capron told the court he had engaged in threesomes and had been filmed before. He claimed that he thought the victim would have enjoyed another man admiring her naked body. "I thought she would enjoy Steve enjoying what she looked like, so to speak. At the end of the day, that was my mistake," said Capron, fighting back tears.

Stefan Weidmann, the prosecuting attorney, told Capron in court that his premeditated plan was "bang out of order."

"You are an educated man. Oxford. You fly a plane worth millions. You knew full well that she did not consent to being filmed," said Weidmann.
