The Democratic calls for President Joe Biden to stop his bid for reelection continued to strengthen this week, even as Republicans flocked to downtown Milwaukee for their nominating convention.
A total of 35 Democratic lawmakers have now called for Biden to drop out of the Democratic race for president, just a month before he is expected to become the party’s official nominee at the Democratic convention in Chicago. Nearly half of the Congressional calls occurred this week, and 12 occurred on Friday alone.
Here is the complete list of lawmakers who have called for Biden to drop out this week, according to Forbes.
Friday:
Sen. Martin Heinrich from New Mexico became the third senator to join the call
Rep. Jared Huffman of California
Rep. Marc Veasey of Texas
Rep. Chuy Garcia of Illinois
Rep. Mark Pocan of Wisconsin
Rep. Sean Casten of Illinois
Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California
Rep. Greg Landsman of Ohio
Rep. Kathy Castor of Florida

Rep. Betty McCollum of Minnesota.
Thursday:

Rep. Jim Costa of California.
Wednesday:
Rep. Adam Schiff of California became the most notable House Democrat to join the call, claiming he had “serious concerns” on whether Biden could beat former President Donald Trump in November, per the Los Angeles Times.
Democratic celebrities, like George Clooney, and major Democratic donors have also called for the president to stop seeking a second term in office recently, but Biden has rejected the calls so far.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
