The Secret Service’s leadership is on the hot seat in the wake of the agency’s biggest failure in decades with the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.

Now, the root of those security failures is leading directly back to the Biden White House.

And Secret Service leadership is in hot water after Jill Biden created this nightmare scenario.

Secret Service resources diverted to Jill Biden

The shooting of former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania was one of the Secret Service’s biggest failures since former President Abraham Lincoln approved the agency’s formation on the very same day he was assassinated at Ford’s Theater in 1865.

A 20-year-old with no tactical training was able to get onto the roof of a building that was a mere 130 yards from the former President with a clear line of sight.

The Secret Service’s leadership made numerous and serious mistakes in how the agency handled security for the event.

Now, the role of the mistakes made by the Secret Service’s leadership in prioritizing resources is coming under the microscope.

First Lady Jill Biden was campaigning in the Pittsburgh area the same day that Trump was shot at his rally.

She spoke at an Italian Sons and Daughters dinner that began about an hour before the former President’s rally.

And Vice President Kamala Harris was campaigning in Philadelphia the same day.

RealClearPolitics national political correspondent Susan Crabtree said that sources inside the Secret Service told her that a decision was made to redirect resources from Trump’s security detail to the First Lady’s event in Pittsburgh.

“This is the problem that my Secret Sources have cited: Secret Services resources were diverted to Jill Biden’s event and away from Trump’s because they followed agency protocol applying to Trump as a former president, according to two sources within the Secret Service community,” Crabtree wrote.

“There were also many supplemental agents from different field officers (not Trump’s regular detail) providing security at the rally because Trump’s regular detail has been overworked (some working 7 days straight), and only two counter-snipers,” she added.

Crabtree wondered who made the decision to redirect the resources away from Trump.

The situation is even more disturbing because the Secret Service knew about a credible threat to Trump.

The Washington Post reported that the Secret Service was informed by intelligence officials that there was an Iranian plot to assassinate Trump.

Furthermore, additional reports have indicated that the Secret Service identified the shooter as “suspicious” some three hours before Trump took the stage and upgraded his status to that of a “threat” some 10 minutes before he took the stage but still allowed the former President onto the stage without actually confronting the individual to find out what he was up to.

Secret Service director reportedly owes her job to the First Lady

Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle is in the hot seat after her agency’s catastrophic failure to properly secure the rally.

She claimed that the buck stops with her, but she is refusing to resign or even provide any information about the ordeal to Members of Congress.

Cheatle got the top spot at the Secret Service after working corporate security for PepsiCo – apparently, ensuring that soft drinks and Cheetos aren’t stolen is the exact experience needed to run the Secret Service.

Prior to her time with Pepsi, she spent 27 years as a rank-and-file Secret Service agent and became a personal favorite of Jill Biden.  

The New York Post reported that Cheatle was favored during former President Barack Obama’s administration by then-Second Lady Jill Biden and her top staffer, Anthony Bernal.

“Cheatle served on Dr. Biden’s second lady detail and Anthony pushed for her,” a Democratic source told The Post. “Anthony has no national security or law enforcement experience. He should have no influence over the selection of the USSS director.”

A source said that Bernal pushed for the Biden White House to appoint Cheatle as the director of the Secret Service.
