Joe Biden’s poor debate performance kicked off a civil war in the Democrat Party.

Some Congressional Democrats are openly pushing to replace Biden, while others are circling the wagons around his candidacy.

And Nancy Pelosi was fuming after John Fetterman reminded her of one brutal truth about her political career.

Polls have been showing that the majority of Americans believe President Joe Biden is too old to serve another four years in the White House.

Democrats and their media allies have defended Biden’s fitness for office for months and smeared anyone who mentioned it.

But Biden put his senility on full display in the first debate for the entire 90 minutes.

His terrible performance sent Democrats into panic mode about finding a replacement with just four months left until the election.

But some Democrats continued to try and convince Americans that Joe Biden only had a “bad night” at the debate.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) appeared on CNN’s State of the Union a few days after the debate and claimed that Donald Trump, not Joe Biden, was the one suffering from dementia.

“By the way, the press — and for some reason they don’t, there are healthcare professionals who think that Trump has dementia,” Pelosi said. “That his connection of his thoughts does not go together. So, if we’re talking about mental acuity, let’s be fair about it.”

Pelosi also appeared for interviews with other Democrat-aligned networks, like MSNBC, where she repeated her claim that Donald Trump was the one with cognitive issues.

But Pelosi softened her tune Thursday on Morning Joe.

“It’s up to the president to decide if he’s going to run,” she said. “We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short.”

But there is one prominent Democrat who continues to defend Joe Biden.

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has been all-in on Biden since the debate.

And Fetterman slammed Nancy Pelosi on Thursday and reminded her that she’s been in the House for her entire career.

“I would say, as far as I know, she’s never run for any office outside of the House, and she’s never run for the president, and she’s certainly never won that, as well,” Fetterman told CNN’s Erin Burnett. “He has already made his decision,” he continued. “Joe Biden has made that decision.”

“He is staying in this race, and he’s going to take this through to the convention and to November, and I’m going to back him on that,” he said. “If I have any advice for Joe Biden, stay in if that’s what you believe, and I have his back 100 percent.”

Fetterman rejected calls for him to step aside after he suffered a stroke days before he won the Pennsylvania Senate Primary.

He may have won his election to the Senate, but Joe Biden’s condition is a different story.

And Fetterman just admitted to Fox News’ Jesse Watters that he hasn’t even seen much of Joe Biden’s debate performance.

If Fetterman actually watches the debate, there’s a good chance he will join Pelosi in softening his position on backing Biden.
