Democrats are dealing with their biggest political crisis in decades, with Joe Biden’s Presidency hanging by a thread.

Now they’re trying to figure out how to get things back on track before November.

And Democrats got some shocking news about Hillary Clinton that put them in this bad spot.

President Joe Biden is fighting for his political life after his shocking performance during the CNN Presidential debate against former President Donald Trump.

Democrats are scrambling to find a way to try and replace him on the ticket.

Vice President Kamala Harris would normally be first in line, but she would already be the Democrat nominee if the Party’s establishment had any faith in her.

Her cackle and frequent gaffes have turned her into one of the most unpopular Vice Presidents in history, according to polling.

Democrats have tossed around the idea of turning to the likes of California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom or Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer as potential saviors.

But with so little time to build another campaign, they’d need someone who already has a high level of name recognition across the nation and at least some experience with national campaigns.

Florida-based Democrat pollster Fernand Amandi – who worked on both former President Barack Obama’s Presidential campaigns – conducted a poll that found that former First Lady Hillary Clinton is the strongest Democrat candidate against Trump.

Clinton led Trump 43% to 41% in the poll conducted by Bendixen & Amandi after the Presidential debate.

Harris topped Trump 42% to 41% in the same poll.

“I’m really surprised by Hillary’s strength,” Amandi said. “While some dismiss her as yesterday’s news and a candidate of the past, voters at least in this poll suggest they may be open to a Clinton comeback and that a ticket with Clinton as president and Harris as vice president is even ‘stronger together.’”

Bendixen & Amandi special projects director Anthony Williams claimed that Clinton’s perceived experience was a plus with voters.

“There’s a certain sophistication at play in the way voters are reacting. They are not knee-jerk reacting to the names that are being bandied about on television,” Williams said. “They are struggling with the same question the party is struggling with: Do we go with experience, or do we go with new? And I think, given everything going on with the world right now, if they can find someone with experience, that would help them sleep a little better.”

Biden took massive political damage from the debate with voters, according to the poll.

Only half of Democrats thought that Biden should continue running or had the mental and physical fitness to serve another four years.

Meanwhile, 61% of voters who watched all or part of the debate thought that Biden wasn’t fit to serve another term.

“Voters have significant concerns about President Biden’s advanced age and their concerns have only grown louder,” Amandi said.

Democrats are in quite the predicament when two-time failed Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is their best hope.
