President Joe Biden had nothing short of a melt down on MSNBC's Morning Joe on Monday as he continued trying to reassure donors, pundits, his party and voters that he's the man to lead the nation into November and for the next four years. He insisted that he will beat President Donald Trump and that he's the only one who can. This even as members of his party are seeking ways to restage a primary, in "blitz" form, that would oust him from the race the DNC convention in August.

"Biden is melting down on MSNBC in his call-in," Jack Posobiec said. "Shouting about elites in his party, making wild challenges." And he was. The new tack taken by Biden, his campaign, and the White House is one that paints Biden as an underdog old man with decades of experience who is being railroaded out of power by elites in his own party who have begun undermining the will of the voters.

"The American public is not going to move away from me as the average voter. And again, I'm here for two reasons pal, number one to rebuild the economy for hardworking middle class people, give everybody a shot, just a straight shot, everybody gets a fair chance, number one. Number two, remember all this talk about how I don't have the black support, come on, gimme a break," he said. "Come with me, watch. Watch! I'm getting so frustrated by the elites, now I'm not talking about you guys, but the elites in the party. 'They know so much more.' But any of these guys don't think I should run, run against me. Go, announce for president, challenge me at the convention."

When confronted with the myriad reports and opinion columns from left-leaning and legacy media outlets calling for him to step out of the race, Biden claimed that no one else could beat him. "I don't care what those big names think," Biden said. "They were wrong in 2020, they were wrong in 2022 about the 'red wave,' they are wrong in 2024. And go, come out with me, and watch people react, you make the judgement, you make the judgement." He began to say that foreign leaders want him to run as well, before harkening back to his 2020 promise about "the adults" being back in charge.

"The country, the rest of the world is looking," he said, "our allies are looking for US leadership. Who else do you think could step in here and do this?"

He insisted that he makes his own decisions. Saying "I'm not bad at what I do, and now that doesn't mean I never make a mistake, I do, but I'm making those decisions."

And he said firmly "I'm not going anywhere," making clear that he "won 14 million of those votes, etc." He promised to be "the best candidate to beat Donald Trump in 2024."

Biden has been assured by his recent campaign stops, he said, that "the average voter out there still wanted Joe Biden," and said he was confident in that.

Biden took aim at Donald Trump, his primary political opponent, saying "I beat him last time, I'll beat him this time. And look, we talk about debate, look at his performance in debate, he lied, over y'know, Trump had 60 lies, I mean look, this is a guy who says 10 percent, eh I don't want to get into it, he's just a liar. And he hasn't done a damn thing since the debate. He's been riding around in a golf cart at Mar-a-Lago talking to his wealthy friends."

Biden notably lied during the debate, most egregiously when he said that no US soldiers had died under his watch, when the number was 16. Biden has held several fundraisers with wealthy Hollywood celebs in New York and LA. Biden insisted that Americans want to see him in the White House for a second term. He claimed that CEO's weren't "flocking to Trump," despite the Silicon Valley CEO's that recently held a fundraiser for him.

As for his health, which has been of primary concern to voters, donors, pundits, Democrats, and anyone with eyes and ears, Biden attempted to reassure viewers that he is totally fine.

Mika Brzezinski asked "have you bene tested for any age-related illnesses, pre-Parkinsons, or anything like that that might explain having a night like that where you couldn't finish sentences?"

Biden chuckled, laughing it off, saying "look, I had, before, I was feeling so badly before the debate when I came back, I had, they had tested me for, I thought maybe I had Covid, maybe there was something wrong, I had an infection or something, they tested me, they gave me those tests, I was clear, so look, I had a bad night. But the fact of the matter is, look at what I'm doing, let me put it this way: there was something that was wrong that night, it's not like it's [unintelligible] that's one night and it's goes away, that's why I've been out, I've been testing myself. And testing everywhere I go, going out and making the case. The night of that debate I was out. I was out 'til 2:00 in the morning, that very night, it drives me nuts people talking about this."

And he insisted further that "In terms of my neurological capacity, I had a physical, a neurological physical as well ... I released all my records. All of them."
