According to a Rasmussen poll, 57% of likely United States voters believe that President Joe Biden lost to former President Donald Trump in the televised debate on June 27. By contrast, 22% of likely voters believe Biden won the debate. An additional 21% are unsure.
Many political pundits and even Texas Congressman Lloyd Doggett argued that Biden should step down as the 2024 presidential candidate and select another candidate instead.
55% of voters agree that Biden should step down, which includes 38% who strongly agree. 36% are in disagreement with suggestions that Biden should step down and be replaced with another candidate, which includes 21% who strongly disagree.
48% of Democratic voters at least somewhat agree that Biden should step down and let the Democratic Party choose another candidate, in addition to 62% of Republican voters and 56% of independent voters. 45% of Democrat voters, 31% of Republican voters, and 30% of independent voters disagree with the suggestion that Biden resign.
33% of likely voters believe that if Biden were to resign, the Democrats would be better off nominating Vice President Kamala Harris as their presidential candidate. However, 50% believe Democrats should choose someone else as their presidential candidate. 17% are unsure.
If Biden stepped down as the Democratic presidential candidate, 45% of Democrats voters indicated their party would be better off making Harris their candidate, a view that only 28% of Republican voters and 25% of independent voters hold. 39% of Democrat voters believe their party would be better off finding a replacement for Biden, in addition to 57% of Republican voters and 55% of independent voters.
A replacement for Biden will do nothing of substance. It will likely be a woke, liberal interventionist type that will continue the ruling class’s perpetual war, mass migration agenda, and anti-white agenda.
