Joe Biden sat down for a pivotal ABC News interview that political operatives said could make or break his chances to officially become his party’s nominee in the upcoming general election.
One of the topics was his meltdown last week in the first presidential debate, but he was apparently ready for the question and had an excuse ready.
As the New York Post reported:
President Biden has tried to explain away his shocking performance during last week’s first presidential debate against Donald Trump, telling ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos Friday evening that he was “exhausted” and “sick” with a “bad cold.”
Biden, 81, stressed that his frequent errors on the CNN debate stage in Atlanta June 27 were a “bad episode” rather than a sign of permanent deterioration and added that his brutal showing was “my fault, no one else’s fault.”
Biden’s anticipated performance in the interview, as well as his potential for remaining somewhat coherent throughout the taped segment, fueled significant social media discussion Friday evening.
Just remember this: Biden’s interview on ABC is TAPED not live, and he’s being questioned by Dem operative George Stephanopoulos, a senior advisor in the Clinton administration and loyal servant of Deep State/Propaganda Media complex.

The interview had not yet aired when media outlets began to publish some of his remarks, including this report from Fox News:
When asked if he had watched the debate since it occurred, Biden said, “I don’t think I did, no.”
The president also said again that he had been sick during the debate, and suggested he was so ill that his doctors thought he might have COVID-19.
“I was feeling terrible,” Biden said. “Matter of fact, the docs with me, I asked if they did a COVID test because they were trying to figure out what’s wrong. They did a test to see whether or not I had some infection, you know, a virus. I didn’t. Just had a really bad cold.”
Here’s what one prominent pollster said was at stake for Biden with the interview, which is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. Friday.
