(Washington, D.C.) Secretary of State Antony Blinken came to the rescue of his boss this week when he stepped in to show President Biden where to make his crayon mark on a new treaty.
“Look, these are often very complex documents, they contain a lot of details, and it can be confusing as to where you’re supposed to put your mark,” Blinken explained. “There are protocols for this sort of thing, so you can’t just willy-nilly mark the document in the wrong spot because that could be seen as a huge insult to the other foreign power! Besides, the president had been up all day, we were all tired, and he was coloring in a book at the time, so we just had him use the periwinkle crayon he was using. It’s all a done deal now, and he will forever be known as the ‘peace president.’ Don’t let the wars cropping up all over the world fool you!”
