At a Get Out the Vote rally in the Bronx on Saturday that featured Jamaal Bowman and Bernie Sanders, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came on stage by dancing to a Card B song, letting her hair down, and yelling into the microphone. 

Ocasio-Cortez began her address to the crowd by asking “Are you ready to win this country back?” despite Democrats currently controlling both the White House and Senate, and her currently in office. 

Her speech, punctuated by yelling and loud music, began with moments that were hard to understand due to the blaring lyrics of Cardi B’s song "Enough," which features the explicit lyrics that sing, “Ho*s better lower they tone when they spittin'. B*tches is washed, soap on the dishes.” 

The rally, intended to boost Democratic voter turnout, featured New York Representative Jamaal Bowman, who has faced significant campaign challenges. Bowman is currently behind in the polls against Democrat primary challenger George Latimer, who is a moderate Democrat. The primary for his district is scheduled for June 25. 

Bowman later took the stage with the same energy as Ocasio-Cortez, holding a barstool in the air and screaming "Ceasefire now!" as the crowd chanted along. 

"We're gonna show them who the f*ck we are!" Bowman yelled to the applaud of the crowd. 

According to a report by the New York Post, the rally also faced backlash from fellow leftists. The anti-Israel organization Within Our Lifetime hosted a “Flood the Bronx for Gaza” protest to counter the rally, with approximately 150 individuals in attendance who believe Ocasio-Cortez and Bowman have not been vocal enough about the Israel-Hamas conflict.
