President Donald Trump was re-elected to a second term in the White House on Tuesday and reports have already begun to surface regarding which individuals he might pick to fill key positions within his administration.
One name, U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), has emerged as a top contender for one influential post.
According to Fox News:
Stefanik became the first congressional leader to back President-elect Trump’s third White House campaign when she endorsed him in November 2022.
She is now being discussed as a potential candidate for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, two people familiar with such discussions told Fox News Digital.
One said Stefanik was “high on the list” of potential candidates.
Stefanik has been a vocal Trump supporter on Capitol Hill and has gained a reputation as a principled conservative legislator.

Another woman close to the Trump campaign has already been confirmed as Trump’s chief of staff, making her the first woman to serve in the important White House role:
According to Politico:
President-elect Donald Trump has tapped senior campaign adviser Susie Wiles as White House chief of staff, selecting one of his most trusted political confidants for the job.
Wiles, who amassed outsized influence as one of Trump’s two 2024 campaign managers, will be the first woman to ever hold the title of White House chief of staff. Many have credited the professionalization of the most recent Trump campaign to Wiles’ leadership.
“Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history, and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns,” Trump said in a statement. “Susie is tough, smart, innovative, and is universally admired and respected. Susie will continue to work tirelessly to Make America Great Again.”
