The Issue: The United States decisively electing Donald Trump to be its 47th president.

The 2024 presidential election has concluded, and the American people have spoken, choosing Donald Trump as their next president (“He’s Don It Again,” Nov. 6).

A major factor contributing to Trump’s victory was the state of the economy and the standard of living, which were central issues for voters.

Many Americans felt that they were worse off now compared to four years ago, and this sentiment played a significant role in the election’s outcome.

Throughout the campaign, it seemed that the Democratic Party failed to address these concerns effectively.

Vice President Kamala Harris, in particular, gave the impression that the policies of President

Biden would remain largely unchanged under her leadership.

This perception may have led many voters to feel that a shift in direction was necessary.

Ultimately, the election result reflects the dissatisfaction many Americans felt with their current economic conditions and their desire for change.

At the very end of the campaign, while people struggled to put food on the table and gas in their cars, Trump appeared at McDonald’s cooking fries and delivering orders at the drive-in window, and then sat in a garbage truck with a sanitation worker.

Meanwhile, Harris was inviting her elite friends like former President Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Bruce Springsteen, Oprah, and Beyoncé to her rallies to campaign on her behalf.

These people are either millionaires or billionaires: So which candidate do you think related to the average American?

We know now the answer is Trump.

Not only did President-elect Donald Trump collect enough Electoral College votes needed to win the presidency (a virtual replay of 2016), he is on track to get the popular vote as well.

That tells me that America has spoken.

But what is America saying — and are Democrats listening?

One thing is certain: America is not a gaggle of A-list celebrities, nor is it a bunch of mega-donors.

America is the average person on the street, with an average job and an average family.

The average American is not rich or famous or powerful.

They’re just people, and on Tuesday, those people spoke.

And they said they prefer what Trump represents over what Harris represents.

They called us “deplorables” and “garbage” and they called Trump “Hitler” and a “fascist.”

Now we get to call them “losers.”

If Trump delivers on what he has promised, then all Democrats have to worry about for the next four years is the economy improving, and loan rates coming down, especially for mortgages.

During the course of this year’s presidential campaign, Trump has spoken openly about all the people he hates.

Allow me to remind the new president-elect that “Hate will never make America great again.”

Please govern wisely.

Tuesday, the voters of America spoke.

They told the world that we are a country focused on democracy and strength.

President-elect Trump has a lot of work to do to fix all of the things that the Biden administration broke.

This time, he should appoint the right people who will actually get the job accomplished from the start.

America is back! Congrats to the American voters and to Trump for standing up for America.

This is the consequence of the Democrats’ actions, their rhetoric and the identity politics that they brought into the American political landscape.

Progressive liberals: You have made your bed.

Now lie in it.
