On the eve of the 2024 presidential election, before President-elect Donald Trump had a sweeping victory set to take the popular vote and the electoral college, the mom of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was seen wearing a Make America Great Again hat.  Ahead of the Chiefs game on Monday night, a video spread across social media showing Randi Mahomes wearing the MAGA hat while stating, “Make America Great Again! Let’s do it.”

The Mahomes family has continually been in the media for their unapologetic support for soon-to-be 47th President Trump, where Brittany Mahomes faced massive controversy earlier this year for liking a post on Instagram shared by Trump outlining the various aspects of the “Make America Great Again” agenda. The “2024 GOP Platform” that was described included things like tax cuts, getting rid of taxes on tips, securing the US-Mexico border, decreasing inflation, and making healthcare affordable.

Subsequently, the wife of the star quarterback faced significant backlash for her outward support of Trump.  However, Mahomes refused to back down.  “I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well,” she said in response to the backlash.

Recounting the hate she received on a podcast appearance, she added, “I think the main thing, you know, he always told me is like, stop caring what people think, especially the people that don’t even know you. And so I think social media used to get to me a lot, and now it’s just like, ‘Honestly, I don’t give a F-*-*-* [she spelled the word out] what people have to say about me anymore, and I think he’s helped me get to that point to where I’m strong in who I am; I’m confident in who I am.”

“Yeah, I think we got kind of thrown into the fire together, and I think that’s what helped us, you know, do so well in the life that we are, is that we did it all together. And he is a lot better at it than I am, maybe because his dad played professional sports,” Brittany continued. “So I think he was around it and he understood it a lot more than I did. So having him to help me get through it has helped a lot because he’s very good at, you know, managing those things and blocking people out.”

However, the support garnered attention from Donald Trump, who thanked Brittany for her brave support in the face of controversy.  “I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country.”

He added, “With Crime and Illegal Immigration totally out of control, INFLATION Ravaging all Americans, and a World that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless “leaders,” it is nice to see someone who loves our Country, and wants to save it from DOOM.”
