DEVELOPING: Thousands of Discrepancies in Harris County Early Vote Tally, County Clerk Says “Accident”

There are reports coming out of Houston, specifically Harris County Texas, regarding thousands of discrepancies with the daily vote tally.  The issue concerns alleged inaccurate voting turnout counts related to the tracking spreadsheet used in the vote counting process, with the County Clerk saying the discrepancy was “accidental”.

One Texas State Senate candidate, Joseph Trahan, stated on X that somewhere between 2000-3000 ballots a day were involved in the discrepancy, with the total daily count showing only 711 votes the next morning in once incident he was aware of.

Here is the full text of Joseph Trahan’s post on X:

Harris County Central Count must have some kind of secret teleportation device they used to remove 2000 to 3000 voters a day from HCC South Loop and moved them to Kashmere every day of early voting after the fact. THIS is merely one of many astounding feats overcoming the limitations of time and space, physics, Rodney Ellis’ team has been able to achieve.

Me, my team and other candidates worked HCC Southloop many days of the early voting period. For instance, Wednesday we know for a fact we passed out 1000 campaign buttons to voters that exited the polling location with a “I Voted” sticker, many of which we had spoken with as they were entering the polling location.

Wednesday Oct 30 at HCC 610 loop easily 2,500 voters entered that voting center by all accounts and this morning Harris County Central Count adjusted that number to 711?

Over 60 daily totals shifted from heavy “Republican” polling locations to heavy “Democrat” polling locations.

We want answers.

Left Totals at polls closing Friday evening and these numbers lasted online until the morning where the image at right shifted 60 different daily totals as indicated entirely inconsistent with first hand on site witnesses at these polling locations.

According to a similar post on X by Caroline Kane who is running for the U.S. House seat for Texas’ Congressional District 7, the Harris County discrepancies are “huge” and, according to Kane, have effected the voting tallies of 60 different polling locations.  Oddly, Kane pointed to the beginning and end of the alphabetical list as remaining unchanged, but says that the “entire middle” of the data report was impacted.

Here is the full text of Kane’s post on X:

In Harris County, there are now huge discrepancies in early voters by polling location between yesterday and what is now showing today. These should NOT CHANGE, yet 60 polling locations have indeed changed. The beginning of the list and end of alphabetical list are all nearly the same. The entire middle of the report is off. Look at “HCC West Loop South,” for instance. Where did the votes go? Perhaps some went to “Samuel Matthews Park Community Center”? I check these numbers daily to check traffic and assign volunteers for the following day. All was consistent day-to-day until today -when everything changed. What is going on here @harriscotxclerk ?

According to a report from local news outlet KHOU-TV 11 in Houston carried on MSN.com, the Harris County Clerk has suggested that the numbers “could be off” because of a formatting issue with the spreadsheet used to track the data.

Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth announced Monday that early voting turnout numbers across the county could be off due to a formatting issue within the spreadsheet they use to keep track of the numbers.

In a statement, Hudspeth said cells shifted for some of the voting centers in the spreadsheet and showed “incorrect numbers for other locations.”

It’s unclear how many locations the shift affected.

Teneshia Hudspeth, the Harris County Clerk, issued a statement according to the Harris County Elections Department regarding the Daily Record of Early Voting Totals for the General Election.

According to a report on the local community board for Harris County, County officials are now stating that the errors have been corrected as of the morning of Tuesday morning.

Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Nov. 4 there were errors in the county’s daily record of early voting totals at two vote centers due to an inadvertent shifting in the cells of the spreadsheet used to track totals. However, county officials said as of the morning of Nov. 5 those errors have been corrected.

Rosio Torres-Segura, the administrator for communications for the Harris County Clerk’s office, said in an email Nov. 5, “The error referenced in yesterday’s statement has already been corrected. You can view the updated Early Voting Unofficial Report on our website. This will not affect the timing of results released tonight.”

This is a developing story, and we will bring you updates as more information becomes available.
