Top-rated podcast host Joe Rogan announced that he will be endorsing former President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris after weeks of speculation.
Rogan made the announcement after posting a surprise interview with X owner Elon Musk. Over the course of the three-hour podcast, the two discussed censorship, the rise of political violence, and the critical moment the nation finds itself in.
“The great and powerful @elonmusk. If it wasn’t for him we’d be fu**ed. He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way,” Rogan wrote in a caption for the podcast after uploading it on X. “For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump. Enjoy the podcast.”

The pivotal endorsement comes a little over a week after Rogan and Trump sat down for a long-awaited interview at Rogan’s Austin, Texas studio. The episode has racked up 44 million YouTube videos in 10 days, making it the second most popular podcast in Rogan’s YouTube catalogue.
While Rogan has long described himself as a moderate liberal, he has expressed frustration with the modern left, particularly due to their embrace of censorship and oppressive lockdown policies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At one point in the Trump interview, the former president asked for the top-rated podcast host’s endorsement in a hilarious segment. “He endorsed me, by the way,” Trump said in reference to X owner Elon Musk. “You should do the same Joe because you cannot be voting for Kamala. You’re not a Kamala person.
“I have watched you for so many years, you’re not a Kamala person. You’re a Khabib person but you’re not a Kamala person,” the former president said of MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, drawing a laugh from Rogan.
