Welcome back for Al’s Afternoon Tea, our last chance to gather before Election Day.
It’s Up to You
We’ve traveled a long road in Campaign 2024. You can say it began when counting stopped in swing states and hundreds of thousands of ballots magically appeared for Joe Biden after America went to bed on election night in 2020, and the American people were deplatformed, told to shut up, and even jailed for saying that something funny was going on.
Tomorrow, the American people have the chance to vote in numbers too loud to ignore, to say firmly and as one, “We are not garbage. We are not fodder for your foreign invaders. We are not a pocketbook for your foreign follies. Our children are not yours for sexual grooming and mutilation. Our parents are not yours to dispatch to nursing homes at a time of your choosing or for the sake of convenience. (Don’t think we’ve forgotten what Democratic governors — including Tim Walz — did during the pandemic.) Our speech is not to be silenced by Orwellian claims of ‘disinformation.’ Our faith is not to be mocked and our ability to live it out is not to be threatened.”
When the clock chimes midnight, it will be Election Day. It’ll be your day.
What’s Going to Happen Tomorrow?
What’s going to happen tomorrow? That should be easy enough to figure out. All you have to do is ask yourself, “Are you better off now than you were four years ago?” and its more specific corollary, “Based on what you’ve experienced under each of them, do you think things will be better for you and the country under Donald Trump or under Kamala Harris?” If people answer that question honestly and not through the lens of identity politics or similarly fractured worldviews, we should be seeing a Trump victory. The greatest political comeback in American history. An American classic told in three acts: Boy from Queens Wins Election, Boy From Queens Loses Election, Boy from Queens Wins Election.
However, we do not know how the election will go, especially with Democrats promising to drag out the counting wherever it’s close, hoping to find those magic stashes of ballots that somehow seem to turn up long after the polls close. And, cynicism aside, it’s also 2024, which has simply been weird since January 1.
What we can expect if Trump is declared the winner is a spasm of violence from the professional left-wing rioters. Washington Gov. Jay Inslee has already activated the National Guard in anticipation of “threats to election infrastructure.” Meanwhile, businesses are boarding up in the District of Columbia, and extra security fencing has been put up around the White House, Capitol, and vice president’s residence.
It’s funny that Harris is happy to put up fencing to protect her own home, but not the homes of those regular people along the borders.
Half of Us Have Already Voted
Roughly half of the nation’s registered voters have already done so. Already, we’re at 47% of the total vote in 2020, with 74 million ballots cast. As we mentioned this morning, early voting trends are looking promising for Trump. Former Obama campaign manager Jim Messina described those numbers as a “little scary” for Harris.
For example, in the crucial state of Michigan, Republicans have outpaced Democrats in early voting by more than 3%.
In Pennsylvania, the Democrats go into Election Day with a nearly 410,000 lead in early voting. That sounds like a lot, until you learn they went into 2020 with a 1.1 million-vote lead. This year, early voting has swung by roughly 20%, with the Democrats currently down 9%.
RealClearPolitics offered its projection of the electoral map early this morning.

However, who is going to generate the bigger turnout tomorrow? Political analyst Mark Halperin told Steve Bannon on Sunday that although Harris is currently in danger of losing one or more of the “blue wall” states of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, she’ll own the night if 55% of the people voting in those states on Election Day are women.
Harris Refuses to Say Whether She Voted for Proposition That Would Reverse the Criminal Justice Reforms That Have Helped Wreck California
Since she began campaigning, Kamala Harris has been trying to tell voters how tough she’ll be on crime. So you’d think it’d be a simple matter for her to openly support California’s high-profile initiative that would help reverse the criminal justice reforms that have turned her home state into one big playground for criminals.
But no. Harris won’t say how she voted. “I am not going to talk about the vote on that,” she said yesterday. “Because honestly, it’s the Sunday before the election and I don’t intend to create an endorsement one way or another around it.”
Proposition 36 will increase penalties for shoplifting and drug dealing. California has become notorious for massive smash-and-grab attacks that have wrecked retail business statewide due to the fact that under Proposition 47 — which Attorney General Kamala Harris strongly endorsed in 2014 — it became illegal to prosecute thieves unless they stole more than $950 worth of merchandise. Proposition 36 would again allow criminal charges for shoplifting under that amount.
Harris keeping mum on her vote says volumes about her views on it.
NBC Files Equal-Time Notification After Harris Appearance
NBC has copped to violating the Federal Communication Commission’s “Equal Time” provision by featuring Kamala Harris and Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine in skits on this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live. The network sent an Equal Time notice to the FCC late Sunday night admitting, “Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for president in the 2024 national election, appeared without charge on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) for a total period of 1 minute and 30 seconds on November 2, 2024.” A separate notice was sent regarding Kaine.
FCC rules require all networks to give the opposing candidate comparable time on a comparable program within seven days. However, with the election tomorrow, that’s nearly impossible to pull off.
Sources tell Arise News that Trump was given free air time for a :90 campaign ad during both Sunday’s NASCAR coverage and at the end of Sunday Night Football in an attempt for NBC to make good.

Meanwhile, here’s something funny. In Harris’s SNL skit, she appears as the mirror image of the person impersonating her. That is precisely the skit Jimmy Fallon and Trump did on SNL in 2016.

Apparently, it wasn’t enough to plagiarize parts of her book and pass off some of Trump’s policies as her own creation; now Harris is even lifting comedy sketch ideas from Trump.
Beat the Cheat: Georgia’s At It Again
Georgia, which was ground zero for some of the most egregious fraudulent acts of the 2020 election, is up to its old antics. Fulton County and other Democrat-heavy counties unilaterally decided, in violation of state law, to keep mail-in ballot boxes open over the weekend. Georgia law unequivocally states that pre-election voting must end the Friday before Election Day, and counties can’t extend that deadline. The counties also were not going to allow poll watchers to observe the process.
The GOP filed a lawsuit to stop the additional days and to force the segregation of ballots deposited after the deadline. A judge quickly ruled against the Republicans, but the party is planning an appeal.
P’Nut and the Abuse of Power
In New York, you can sucker-punch strangers, shoot up on the streets, and smash-and-grab businesses to your heart’s content. But if you keep a pet squirrel? Then the authorities threaten to throw the book at you, raid your house, deport your wife, grab the squirrel, and kill it. And also kill a pet raccoon for good measure.
Such is the way Democrats in the state are using their power.
P’nut the Squirrel became an internet sensation after being rescued seven years ago by Mark and Daniela Longo, who run an animal rescue farm in rural New York. However, a neighbor allegedly decided she didn’t like the attention P’nut was getting and ratted the squirrel out to authorities. Instead of saying, “Sorry, we’re dealing with tens of thousands of illegal immigrants overrunning our state,” those authorities went on the attack.
The Longos’ home was raided while state officials spent five hours searching for P’nut. They questioned Daniela, who was born in Germany, about her immigration status. They eventually left with both P’nut and a pet raccoon. Both animals were then euthanized, state officials say, over rabies fears.
When armed brownshirts ransack your house for five hours, and terrorize your wife with the subtle implication of deportation, they aren’t looking for a frigging squirrel.
They are telling you who’s in charge of every breath you take for the rest of your life.

You might say, “It’s just a squirrel.” (Or as my mom would say, “Serves the critter right.”) But increasingly outspoken actor James Woods is right. Why did the authorities do it? Because they could.
The squirrel isn't just a squirrel

This is the same mindset that has Kamala Harris raiding the homes of pro-life pastors. Heck, even raiding the home of her administration’s chief political opponent.
She and Joe Biden may consider most Americans to be garbage. But in their eyes, we are also P’nut.
On the Stream Menu
Tomorrow is our Super Bowl. While we at The Stream know you have plenty of options for election coverage — including every major news network, syndicated wire services, and social media feeds from people both known and not, expert or otherwise — we’re still going to seek to do what we can to add value to the conversation as it unfolds over the next few days and weeks.
Here’s a sneak peek at our plans:
- Tonight and throughout the rest of the week, we’ll be posting updates on our social media pages. Follow us there at @streamdotorg on X, Gettr, Gab and Truth and TheStream.org on Facebook.
- Tomorrow, we’ll be following a few key races closely: the presidential results (obviously), senate races in a few key states, and nine ballot initiatives (mostly concerning pro-life measures) in eight states. Meanwhile, Al’s Afternoon Tea will deal with the last-minute goings-on before the polls close. We’ll keep a post stuck to the top of our website as events unfold Tuesday and Wednesday, which we’ll update every few hours — so be sure to keep hitting that “refresh” button!
- Early next week: As America tries to untangle the havoc created by electronic voting machines, John Zmirak will be interviewing four election integrity watchdogs about voter fraud and current events. Starting Thursday, we’ll have a new post stuck to the top of our page detailing every instance of voter fraud, manipulation, and intimidation that we find out about. The stakes have never been higher than they are right now, and we want to keep receipts!
In the meantime, we still have other scintillating insights on our site, including a special episode of Conversations with Christians Engaged, in which Bunni Pounds is “Getting to the Roots of Why Christians Don’t Engage” politically. Don’t be one of the 32 million believers we’ve been talking about for the last two weeks who plan to sit this election out. You just can’t afford to do that.
Stream contributor Raymond Ibrahim writes explains why “Unlike Democrats, Donald Trump Takes Religious Persecutions of Christians Seriously.”
Our twentieth installment of a 21-day prayer guide from Intercessors for America is “Contending for Breakthrough: Praying for Israel and the Surrounding Nations.”
