Donald Trump has been unfairly demonized like no other figure in American history.
He drives Democrats up the wall.
And Laura Ingraham exposed one surprising reason Democrats are scared of Donald Trump.
The elites are terrified of Trump
Former President Donald Trump has been like a wrecking ball to the Washington, D.C. “Swamp.”
He opposed their America Last trade deals, open borders, and endless foreign wars favored the elites in both parties.
Historian Victor Davis Hanson told Fox News host Laura Ingraham the “out-of-touch wealthy elite” are terrified of Trump because they no longer have any sympathy for the concerns of everyday Americans.
He argued that Trump shifted the focus of the Republican Party away from country club Republicans into a bigger coalition made up of working class Americans from all walks of life.
“Trump is really saying you’re right about FDR,” Hanson said. “He said the only thing you have to fear is fear itself. There’s no limitation on what we can do.”
The former President took action on priorities without being afraid of the reaction from Democrats and their media allies.
“We can secure the border. Don’t worry about being ostracized or doxed or criticized or called all these names,” Hanson explained. “We can reduce crime. We can refashion our foreign policy. And everything’s possible. And we’re no longer just gonna be stereotyped as an elitist party of wealthy white people and the Republicans that play golf.”
Why Obama and the elites despise Trump
Hanson said that Trump reorienting the GOP away from the elites to the working class angered the Republican establishment.
“He’s replaced race with class. And he said we’re an upper middle and lower middle-class party and everybody’s invited, and that’s why it terrifies the old, never Trump elite on the Republican side,” Hanson stated. “They don’t like that. Neither does the left. And more importantly, when he created this new movement, this new Republican party, he showed what the left has become in their anger and their fury and their frenzy.”
The Democrat Party long fashioned itself as the party of the working man while claiming they looked out for the little guy.
Now, Democrats have become the party of Wall Street, Big Tech, Hollywood, corporate media, the Ivy League, and the elites in general.
Trump’s populist makeover of the Republican Party exposed how phony and out of touch the Democrats have become in the 21st Century.
“They’re really a party of the out-of-touch wealthy elite. That’s who the Obama’s are, the Clinton’s are, the Harris’ are, the Silicon Valley people. They’re really furious about this because they’ve been shown to be emperors without any clothes,” Hanson continued. “They really only care about themselves and these esoteric elite agendas that destroy the middle class, of which they have no compassion.”
Hanson thought that increasingly unhinged attacks on Trump were a sign of the elite’s panic.
“So we’re at the end of a decade-long story. The Russian collusion, Russian disinformation, lawfare, get him off the ballot, two assassination attempts,” Hanson said. “And what are they left with? All they’re left with is he’s Hitler. He’s a fascist, he’s a Nazi.”
Donald Trump has forever remade the political system after he took over the Republican Party.
