Playing the Migrant Shuffle

When Texas didn’t get the federal government’s help dealing with the migrant invasion, Governor Greg Abbott took the bull by the horns and started sending illegals to sanctuary cities such as New York.

“Border Czar Kamala Harris and the federal government continues to refuse to enforce federal immigration laws already on the books and do their jobs to secure the border, allowing record-high levels of illegal immigrants, deadly drugs like fentanyl, and weapons to surge into our state and country,” spokesperson Andrew Mahaleris told Fox News in a statement.

After a couple of years of dealing with the high cost of supporting the illegal immigrants, NYC Mayor Eric Adams has decided to send them back to Texas, as well as other states. The Big Apple has received more than 200,000 undocumented travelers since 2022 and has started providing options to help them resettle. Fox News reported that 4,500 migrants have been sent to Texas using bus or plane tickets purchased by the city. Mahaleris told the outlet the move is hypocritical:

“Hypocritical Mayor Adams said busing migrants is ‘morally bankrupt,’ while Harris called transporting migrants ‘political theater’ and they’re doing the same thing themselves. Until Border Czar Harris steps up and does her job to secure the border, Texas will continue utilizing every tool and strategy to respond to the Biden-Harris border crisis.”

Mad Dash to America

People are in a mad dash to get into America before the Election 2024 results come in. A 2,000-migrant group is currently on the way to the US, afraid a re-elected Donald Trump will close the border.

Iris Meza, 39, and her two children have been living in Tapachula, Mexico, for two months, waiting for the asylum system to offer her a way into the US. She told The Telegraph, “We were waiting for the [asylum] appointment but then with the election all these applications will be closed and we are running out of time. The applications are being paused or cancelled but the border will be open.” She added, “If Donald Trump gets in office again, it will be much tougher.”

A second convoy is set to start traveling to America on November 5, intentionally planned for Election Day. A human rights activists told the outlet, “so Joe Biden and Kamala Harris know we are heading their way.”

Crime Update

A group of migrants from South America was recently indicted for several bank robberies in California, Oregon, and Washington. The immigrants, mostly from Chili, targeted more than 29 banks and credit unions, allegedly using construction crew disguises, cellphone jammers, blowtorches, and other “sophisticated tactics” to steal more than $4 million in cash, according to federal prosecutors.

The 11 migrants reportedly searched out ATMs in “vulnerable locations,” court documents revealed, then rented vacation properties near their targets and used rental cars that they got on the “black market.”

Prosecutors said the thieves broke into a Wells Fargo in Modesto, CA, at night and cut a hole in the wall to gain access to the ATMs.

Nine of the migrants were arrested and charged last week while the other two were arrested in Washington on Wednesday, October 30. If convicted, the suspects could receive 20 years in prison for bank robbery plus another five years for conspiracy to commit bank robbery.
