Donald Trump isn't taking that comment from Joe Biden about Trump supporters — over half the country — being garbage lying down.
“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters," Biden said as the left was trying to make a big deal out of comedian Tony Hinchcliffe's joke about Puerto Rico being an island of garbage. A fact which is sadly true. It has a garbage crisis, which was the basis of the joke, a fact few people actually knew about until Hinchcliffe brought it up.

Trump learned about Biden's comment while he was live on stage. The look on Trump's face as he heard it for the first time says it all.

Trump reminded everyone about Hillary calling his supporters "deplorable," but said he thinks "garbage" is probably worse, before joking that he still thinks Biden likes him more than he likes Harris.
But Trump wasn't done talking about it yet...
Since Biden released that comment into the public discourse, Democrats have been scrambling to do damage control. Biden made that remark during Harris' speech, trying to give her last attempt at making a case for America to vote for her. The timing of it couldn't have been worse for her, and as CNN's Scott Jennings pointed out, an odd move for Biden to be in front of a camera during said speech, making comments like that.

But now, with Trump's latest statement, I think we can safely say that the damage is done and there is no coming back from that comment for the Democrats, for Biden, and especially for Kamala Harris.

Posting to both Truth Social and X, Trump made a statement that truly highlights why the Democrats, including Harris, have no business being leaders of this nation.
"While I am running a campaign of positive solutions to save America, Kamala Harris is running a campaign of hate. She has spent all week comparing her political opponents to the most evil mass murderers in history," Trump's statement began.
This is in reference to Harris attempting to paint Trump as a Hitler figure, a lead many on the left followed by referring to Trump supporters as "Nazis," especially during his Madison Square Garden rally.
"Now, on top of everything, Joe Biden calls our supporters 'garbage,'" Trump continued, leading to the most important sentence in his statement. "You can't lead America if you don't love the American People."
"Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have shown they are both unfit to be President of the United States. I am proud to lead the biggest, broadest, and most important political coalition in American history. We are welcoming historic numbers of Latinos, African Americans, Asian Americans, and citizens of every race, religion, color, and creed. It is my desire to be the President of all the people."
Trump responds to Biden's "garbage" comment, pointing out just how much hate there actually is over on the Democrat's side of the aisle.

A poignant statement by Trump. The left has been making it clear that anyone who doesn't think like them is evil, and that's not an exaggeration. You don't just compare people to Nazis, accuse them of holding Nazi-like rallies, and then expect them to believe you'll be a good leader to them.
Yes, campaign rhetoric does get heated and accusations and name-calling is pretty commonplace. However, if you're going to say things like that, then you can't call yourself the party of "joy" and brag about how good you are at uniting people, promising to be a leader for all people as you demonize half the country.
This statement from Trump might be one of the final blows that nails the Harris campaign's coffin lid shut.
