Biden Campaign Launching Trump Felon Ad Blitz

They’re hoping to cash in on the lawfare. “President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign is spending $50 million through the end of June, a blitz that includes its first television ad trumpeting Donald Trump’s felony conviction and signals that the Democratic incumbent is seeking to make his Republican opponent’s legal woes a bigger issue heading into November,” the Associated Press reports. “The advertising push comes with Election Day still months away. But Biden’s campaign says it wants to more clearly define the choice between the candidates ahead of the first debate between them in Atlanta on June 27,” the wire service writes.

Going Negative: “The ad campaign includes more than $1 million geared toward media reaching black, Hispanic and Asian American voters and a spot highlighting Trump’s conviction on 34 felony counts in a New York hush money case. It will air on general market television and connected TV on streaming devices and cellphones in battleground states as well as on national cable. Besides Trump’s criminal conviction, the ad, titled ‘Character Matters,’ notes the former president also was found liable for sexual assault and financial fraud in separate proceedings.” Related: Biden’s voter access order: Civil rights boon or partisan ploy?

Biden to Unveil Policy Shielding Illegal Alien Spouses

One more door is being opened to illegal aliens. “The Biden administration today plans to announce an executive action protecting [illegal alien] spouses of American citizens that would shield about 500,000 [illegals] from deportation, according to four sources familiar with the matter,” NBC News reports. “‘This is the biggest thing since DACA,’ said one of the sources, an immigration advocate,” the network details.

You Can Stay: “The four sources, which include advocates and Capitol Hill staffers, said that lawmakers have been briefed and at least some have been invited to the White House for the announcement. The program, known as ‘parole in place,’ would also make it easier for some [illegal aliens] to get a green card and a path to US citizenship. The sources also say that the [illegal alien] spouses would be allowed to obtain work permits on a case-by-case basis. Two of the sources said that the [illegal alien] spouses will have to have lived in the US and been married for at least 10 years before being eligible to apply for the work permit.” Related: Biden turns humanitarian parole into an illegal alien bonanza…

NJ Democrat Power Broker Charged In Corruption Probe

Accusations of old-fashioned political corruption in The Garden State. “New Jersey’s attorney general on Monday charged one of the state’s most powerful Democrats and his allies in a sweeping indictment alleging a long-running corruption scheme,” Politico reports. “The charges against George Norcross represent another seismic event in New Jersey politics in a year that’s already seen a drastic disruption of its notorious boss systems. And George Norcross is often held up as the symbol of a New Jersey political boss. He has long been the subject of scrutiny by law enforcement and a political task force, but has never been charged,” the news site notes.

‘Took the Waterfront’: “The indictment, brought by Attorney General Matt Platkin, portrays years of extortion and threats. Norcross has run a criminal enterprise for at least the past 12 years, Platkin said, causing hurt to businesses, individuals and ‘especially – especially – to the city of Camden,’ one of the state’s poorest cities. ‘Instead of contributing to the successes of the city of Camden, through a series of criminal acts alleged in the state’s case, the Norcross enterprise took the Camden waterfront all for themselves,’ Platkin said at a press conference.” Related: Bob Menendez trial is already a strange affair…

Secret Service Agent Robbed During Biden Hollywood Trip

California is too dangerous even for the Secret Service. “A US Secret Service agent was robbed at gunpoint in Southern California over the weekend during President Joe Biden’s trip,” KTTV-TV in Los Angeles reports. “‘A member of the US Secret Service was the victim of an armed robbery in Tustin, California late Saturday when returning from a work assignment,’ the agency said in a statement. ‘The employee discharged their service weapon during the incident but [it is] unknown if the assailants were struck. We are thankful that the employee did not sustain any injuries,’” the station relates.

Business Trip: “Biden spent part of the weekend in Los Angeles for a Hollywood star-studded campaign gala. George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Barbra Streisand were among those who took the stage at the 7,100-seat Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday night. Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel interviewed Biden and former President Barack Obama.” Related: Los Angeles wellness check: Stolen fire hydrants and meth mania…

Ex-Employee: DEI Killed Google Maps’ Scenic Routes

It’s all about not being judgmental. “A former Google Maps UX researcher has shed light on the company’s decision not to include a ‘scenic route’ option in its navigation app, citing potential bias against low-income areas. The thinking of Google engineers in designing a product less useful for consumers is a clear reflection of corporate DEI policies,” Breitbart reports. “Toms Guide reports that in a recently deleted thread on X/Twitter, Kasey Klimes, who worked as a Senior UX Researcher for Google Maps between 2017 and 2021, revealed the reasoning behind the absence of a scenic route option in the popular navigation app,” the news site chronicles.

Insensitive to Ghettos: “According to Klimes, the current Google Maps algorithm is objective, and any shift towards ‘nice’ or ‘scenic’ routes would require the incorporation of a new subset of variables that would introduce bias into the product. According to Klimes, the inclusion of these variables could potentially introduce an inherent bias into the system, predominantly directing users through high-income areas due to the prevalence of features such as beautiful architecture or tree-lined streets. Klimes argues that this bias would inadvertently divert foot traffic from low-income streets, effectively taking tax dollars away from struggling communities and funneling them into wealthier areas.” Related: Google’s favorite fact-checker Poynter goes full Marie Antoinette…
