Liberal Fox News host Jessica Tarlov recently caught backlash after claiming aspects of the economy are better under the Biden-Harris administration than under former President Donald Trump’s administration. However, conservatives quickly fact-checked Tarlov’s claims on social media. She was also compared to former left-leaning Fox News host Geraldo Rivera, where Tarlov was labeled “Geraldo in a pantsuit.”

“There is a very solid record, especially when it comes to black voters. For Kamala Harris to be running on, based on what they accomplished during the Biden-Harris administration,” Tarlov said during a recent segment.  She proceeded to outline several supposed achievements with the black community.

“From over two and a half million jobs for black people, the lowest unemployment in American history for black Americans, and also the smallest gap between white unemployment and black unemployment, $16 billion for HBCUs, all of the high speed internet access, et cetera, investing all this money into infrastructure to make sure that black Americans have access to economic opportunities, like the transportation to get there, to the jobs. Those are all things that I hope that she will talk about in this interview,” she continued.

The KamalaHQLies account, which continually debunks claims from Vice President Kamala Harris, called out the Tarlov’s assertion and offered a different narrative.  “THE CLAIM: Black jobs are up under Kamala and Biden. THE TRUTH: Black wages are down by 6% and many of the jobs were simply recovered from the covid lockdowns,” the post began.

The post continued to outline data which offers a different view on the Biden-Harris economic record with the black community.  “Here are the facts: The unemployment rate for Black Americans hit a historic low of 5.2 percent, and Black labor-force participation reached 63.2 percent, its highest level since the 2008 recession,” KamalaHQLies continued.

Citing more economic data, the post added, “The poverty rate for Black Americans also fell to record lows, with 1 million people rising out of poverty between 2016 and 2019. During President Trump’s pre-pandemic economy, Black median weekly earnings increased by an average of 4.1 percent, outpacing the 3.4 percent growth seen among white workers.”

“The incentives from Trumps opportunity zones attracted $75 billion in capital for underserved communities in just two years, creating around 500,000 jobs and setting a path to lift 1 million people out of poverty,” the anti-Kamala account concluded.  Other users on X commented under the post calling out Tarlov for her remarks.

“Tarlov is nothing more than Juan Williams or Geraldo Rivera in a pantsuit. She regurgitates democrat falsehoods and has No problem lying through her teeth. Anything to make Nancy and Obama proud,” one person wrote.  Another user similarly wrote, “They are great at twisting the truth but hate the real facts!” Praising KamalaHQLies for its efforts to se the record straight, another person said, “Thank you for creating this page, i love it! it’s baffling how much of my feed is dominated by your posts. it is so offensive how much they lie and how stupid they think people are! keep bringing the fire.”
