The Brew: Kamala Harris Transports to ‘Word-Salad City’ During Fumbling CNN Town Hall Session

Happy Friday!

First off, a hearty thank you to The Stream’s Gayle McQueary for stepping in as your barista yesterday. Good stuff, eh?

We are now just 10 days away from the election! Can you believe it?

Today’s shaping up to be a Texas-sized day for the campaign. Kamala Harris will be holding a rally in Houston, with Beyonce scheduled to perform. Meanwhile, Donald Trump will be in Austin to record his much-anticipated interview with podcast host Joe Rogan and his 14.5 million Spotify listeners. Another 19 million will follow along on Instagram, and still another 17 million subscribers will tune in on YouTube.

Harris Blows CNN Town Hall Meeting, Even Dem Strategist Bemoans Her Trips to “Word-Salad City”

In The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy does away with the Wicked Witch by throwing water on her without meaning to. Similarly, Wednesday night, Anderson Cooper did away with Kamala Harris by throwing questions at her. CNN certainly didn’t mean to.

Take the obvious question from Cooper, referring to all of Harris’s campaign promises: “You’ve been in the White House four years. Why wasn’t any of that done the last four years?”

Her response: “There was a lot that was done, but there’s more to do. I’m pointing out things that need to be done that haven’t been done but need to be done.”

Say what?!

Harris introduced a new line of excuse for why she never offers details on policy. She’s studious. She needs to research the policy when asked about it.

Sure. If someone at a town hall meeting asks for her thoughts on the mating habits of orangutans visa-vis government funding for basic research in natural sciences, sure, “I need to research that” would be an acceptable answer. But she’s being asked about basic policies that a vice president and presidential candidate should have down already from prior experience and future plans. Donald Trump, Jr. put it this way: “Good thing the president never has to make quick decisions where lives depend on it.”

Amazingly, that was the same concept Harris applied when answering a question about what mistakes has she made.

Of course, the smart-aleck response would be, “Yeah, she’s studious. She studies what others write and say, copies and pastes it, and then sells it as her own work.”

Plagiarism aside, the knock on Harris, both from the Biden people and those on her own staff who fled in horror, is that Harris does not put in the necessary work and shows up unprepared — then screams at her staff when the meetings go wrong.

During her CNN town hall meeting, Harris also shed her tough-on-the-border act, renewing her call for amnesty for the millions of illegal immigrants she’s let into the country. She used the euphemism “pathway to citizenship.”

Cooper did ask about her new favorite idea: that Trump is Hitler incarnate.

“Do you think Donald Trump is a fascist?” he asked.

Said Harris, “Yes, I do. Yes, I do.”

“Just like in 2020 you thought Joe Biden was a racist?” Cooper should have replied (but didn’t).

Harris again proved my point that the easiest job in the world is being on Trump’s campaign ad team. Take what Kamala says, just add the tag.

How bad was her town hall meeting? So bad that even in trying to put a positive spin on it, CNN’s own Van Jones admitted she stinks at this.

Former Obama advisor David Axlerod also told CNN that Harris flees to “word-salad city” when she wants to dodge a question.

“The thing that would concern me is when she doesn’t want to answer a question, her habit is to kind of go to word-salad city, and she did that on a couple of answers.”

Meanwhile, I think I finally figured out why Liz Cheney adores Kamala Harris so much: Harris bombs everywhere she goes.

Word Salads Aside, the Lady is Dangerous

We can make fun of Harris’s shallowness, phoniness, and silliness — call her the Mayor of Word-Salad City — all morning long. But we cannot lose sight for a second of how radical and dangerous she is, particularly to people of faith.

A Danger to Pro-Life Doctors and Advocates

Harris reaffirmed Tuesday night in an NBC News interview that she would not allow religious exemptions for doctors and hospitals that object to performing abortions based on religious beliefs. Catholic Vote warns that a Harris administration would also mean more pro-life advocates would soon be heading to prison.

“Kamala Harris admits she would deny religious exemptions for abortions — forcing Christians to kill unborn children and seemingly doubling down on weaponizing the government to jail pro-lifers who pray outside abortion facilities,” CatholicVote posted on X. “Why would any Christian vote for her?”

A Danger to Children

Harris is dangerous to children as well. A whistleblower with Government Services Agency (GSA) revealed that the Harris-Biden administration signed a $347 million contract with a company called MVW to transport unaccompanied minors into the U.S. “like potato chips on a truck.” Listen to what Contract Specialist Clarissa Rippee told James O’Keefe. And kudos to Rippee for having the guts to come forward publicly.

This is part of Harris’s widespread border policy that facilitates the labor and sexual trafficking of children.

And, of course, Harris is not only complicit in the trafficking of children, she’s all in for the mutilation of children under the euphemistic guise of “gender-affirming care.”

Study Showing Harm of Puberty Blockers on Kids Buried Because of Politics

This New York Times headline says it all: “U.S. Study on Puberty Blockers on Children Unreleased Because of Politics, Doctor Says.” You can guess how the study went. It determined that puberty blockers do nothing to improve the mental health of children suffering from gender dysphoria. But the doctor behind the study, transgender advocate Johanna Olson-Kennedy, decided not to publish the findings because she feared they would be “weaponized” by the those who want to stop the chemical castration of kids and then used to “argue in court we shouldn’t use blockers.”

So much for “trust the science.”

Author J.K. Rowling reacted perfectly to The New York Times story on X. “We must not publish a study that says we’re harming children because people who say we’re harming children will use the study as evidence that we’re harming children, which might make it difficult for us to continue harming children.”

It’s kind of interesting that Rowling is responsible for the most popular book series in history, yet may ultimately be best remembered for her brave defense of women and children against the transgender radicals.

While we’re on the topic of transgender mania, a U.N. study has determined roughly that 600 women have been denied almost 900 medals worldwide thanks to males competing in women’s sports.

Update: Second Gentleman’s Ex-Girlfriend Goes on the Record About Alleged Attack

The ex-girlfriend of Kamala Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, has gone on the record with her account of him allegedly physically assaulting her at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The woman, who still wishes to remain anonymous, told the Daily Mail she decided to speak out after Emhoff denied the publication’s original story about the incident and continues to presents himself as a feminist.

“What’s frightening for a woman that’s been on the other end of it is watching this completely fabricated persona being portrayed,” she said.
