A huge brawl erupted at a bookstore in New Jersey between former bandmates David Lee Roth and Alex Van Halen. Alex was doing a book signing event when Roth showed up and created a scene. A huge brawl broke out and things ended with David being escorted out by local police. 

It started out as a nice event for Van Halen fans in suburban New Jersey. Drummer Alex Van Halen wrote a new book titled “F*ck David Lee Roth” and was appearing in store to meet, greet and sign for the fans. Who knew that it would turn into a knock down drag out fight between two elderly rockers, fans and book store employees.

Alex, in good spirits, was in the middle of recounting a story about the recording of “Jump” when the doors swung open with a bang. Enter David Lee Roth, wearing a Richard Nixon mask. He strolled over to the book display where he began drawing mustaches on Alex’s cover photo. Dave then took a few copies into the men’s room and began urinating and defecating on the books. 

At this point security tried to intervene and Dave ran for Alex. Roth pulled off his mask and confronted Alex. Taking a cur from the infamous NJ Housewives, Dave started screaming “Prostitution Whore” and flipped a few tables over. A shocked Alex wrestled Dave to the ground and jammed his drumsticks deep into Roth’s nostrils. 

Dave writhing in pain managed to get to his feet. He attempted a running kick to Alex’s midsection but missed and landed on an umbrella. Alex went to work on Roth’s ribs. He unleashed a flurry of punches with lightning fast speed to the drumbeat of “Hot For Teacher”. A fan known only as Claudia, reported hearing “Roth’s ribs cracking like a snare drum. Don’t mess with a drummer, he will paradiddle the crap out of you.”

As police arrived, Roth had Alex in a headlock and was attempting to gnaw on his ear. Meanwhile, fans ran amok in the store divided by team Dave and team Alex. It was like Lord of the Flies in there. Calm was restored and Roth was taken out in cuffs as Alex went back to signing books. “See you tomorrow Dave” said Alex. Dave replied, “Same time, same place brother.” Roth then explained, “It was a long time coming. We had to let that pent up rage out. Back in the old days we would have a good blow out like that every couple of months. It’s Rock n Roll man.”
