ST. PAUL, MN — A local wife revealed her pre-bedtime ritual consists of showering, applying lotion, and sticking her feet in the freezer.

"Got to get these babies nice and cold before I get into bed with hubby," Heather Chase explained as she excused herself from the family game of Monopoly so she could get ready for bed.

According to sources, this was the first time her husband, Gene, heard she had been doing that. "Honey, you don't have to do that — "

But she was dismissive as she walked toward the kitchen. "This is just woman stuff, hon. You wouldn't understand."

"You can never understand."

In a recent issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine, women are offered ten helpful tips for freezing their feet before bed, with chilling them in the freezer being only one of many possible options.

"My bedtime routine is a lot simpler during the winter months," Heather said. "I just walk outside and stick my feet in the snow. But we're just not quite there yet."

At publishing time, Gene Chase shouted bloody murder as his wife's feet made contact with him under the bed sheets.
